excellent! I have to try this

wish it was on Mac. Anyone know an emulator or way of getting it to work on a Mac?

Nice one! I was just looking to install this one on my laptop last week. I will give this a try.

Thanks

You'd probably need to run a Windows virtual machine

disapointing, jumped through needlesss hoops before quickly erasing it.
Its a "BETA" beware.......

downloading do love the stratergy games.

Beta expired.
Would it be possible if someone could send me the install file if only the beta will work this way.
I really want to try the beta out, and how long does this last

you cant get the install file as its through the games for windows client

This is not expired but you have to go through the Windows Live Marketplace to download this. You don't need a beta key although permission may be only to those that have used/ paid for a game onWLM before (I bought AOE 3 for 10p when it was on sale). Large install and patch but I can confirm that it does indeed work.

Glad I discovered this thread as I haven't used WMP in months and was able to instal AOE 3 again on my new laptop.

There's also another 2 free games on there: Game Room and Tinker.

Seems a bit of work even if you're used to AOE, played it for about an hour. There's a lot of free content much in the way of LOTR Online so worth downloading.

I mentioned Tinker (above) which is worth a download, puzzle type game. I wouldn't bother though with Game Room as it's just an emulator for old classics like Centipede and Space Invaders but with a premium charge for each title.

Says the enrollment event has now concluded Would have been well up for this.

Will try it through the Windows Live Marketplace like people say

I thought so too Neversosi but I went onto windows marketplace and there it was without a key.

I'm not sure if there is any criteria you have to meet but it was free for me, as I said I've previously paid for AOE III on marketplace.

When it is released it will be like Lord of The Rings Online where there is a load of free content but also premium for those diehards that will pay for upgrades.
