This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

For new drivers like myself, just found out Sainsbury's petrol stations don't charge for air & water supply! Usually I go to Morrison's where they charge 20p for air. Once I went to Tesco and they charged 50p.
According to Sainsbury's guy it's been a free service for ages.
I hope many people get benefited by this post

It's just a bit of a nightmare when trying to get the water home.

Thats one way around a water meter.
As another user said this has been going on for years, also my local tesco doesn't charge
I'm delighted youve made this discovery. Air and water have been free at Sainsburys for as long as they have been selling petrol. Enjoy
the trouble is I haven't seen a single Sainsbury's petrol station in my area.. hot anyway

Deal?
Truth be known, air and water are free to everyone and always have been
Ok.. Just don't drive 2+ miles to save the 20p, it's not worth the 20p if you start the car from cold start just to get the free water and air... Fill up from any supermarket when you go there... :-)
Everytime I go past the sainsburys petrol station there is always a queue of cars next to this air and water station. I keep saying I will do it next time and then next time. Its been 3 years and have never found it available...(flirt)

People are like tramp on chips when they know things are free!!!
It did used to be free everywhere when I started, then a lot of places started charging 20p about 6/7 years back, so I've just done it at home since then. Also not got a Sainsburys near me, but this is good to know.

This isn't available at the branch on Mars.

I don’t drive but I’m going to try it.. just out of curiosity
Sainsburys air is usually out of order. They have a problem with people cutting the air gun part off and nicking them.
Tesco have been charging for air for years and Morrisons is free if you buy over a certain amount of fuel. That's why I recommend the battery portable air pump when ever it is posted here around £30
Just waiting for a deal: Free toilets and tap water in Sainsburys/Asda/Morrisons/Tesco (pick your own)
Some of the ones near me are £1 minimum charge to get the air/water for a few mins.
Yep been like this for years and years but a fair post I think to inform people who might not know.

Yeah.. pretty soon someone will post to say the air is unethically sourced and the water isn't evian

I think you'll find water isn't free and air just doesn't cost money!
Never seen a sainsbos petrol station up here

Nah people stretch and yank and bend the air hoses causing the hose to split and then let go and let it spring back on the reel and smash into the metal pump stand - in short people are careless when things are not their own - selfish society!

The only thing that works is the water as its just used in the engine at the front of the car and not stretched to get to four wheels!
Hm I'm sure the one I use I'm Nottingham chargers. But clearly I'm wrong. I thought all now charged so thanks for the heads up!
I’m not a fan of these posts.... it isn’t available everywhere and free!
Morrisons is free if you buy fuel, but you have to ask for a code for the machine

Depends if your happy to drink dirty water, personally I prefer water out of a tap or bottle to water out of either of my local rivers dee or mersey

If you live over 2 miles away from the local supermarket probably best just pay the £1 delivery fee and get it delivered..
Time to fill up my water butt

At the rate the water gun despatches water at my Sainsburys, that would take somewhere between 3-4 weeks.
