Potentially £5 cashback available via Topcashback. Get this on O2 and then just use it for O2 priority freebies. You can get a free coffee at Nero every week. After 2 weeks it will have paid for itself if you normally buy a coffee a week. Just make sure you send a text every 6 months or O2 will expire the sim card credit.

Just got this without topup as a PAYG upgrade. Been on O2 PAYG for a while, basically it did a check on my number, said I could keep existing plan and I don't need to buy a £10 top up. Result, free phone to live in the top drawer with all of its mates! #UnusedNewBoxedPhoneParty
Cold ❄... No wireless charging or NFC
Thanks & Heated OP
Opted for the PAYG Vodafone plan & £5 TCB tracked straight away - net £9.99 cost for access to Veryme rewards

Good deal for 02 but the £10 only lasts for 30 days I believe . Should still be ok for 02 priority.

Think you have to top up £10 every month for use of the vodaphone very me app.

Damn, your right - & managed to change to O2 by calling customer service...

VeryMe Rewards is open to Pay monthly mobile and Pay as you go mobile customers. Pay as you go mobile customers must top up by at least £10 every 6 weeks to access VeryMe Rewards. Remember, if you're a new Vodafone customer, it can take up to four days to access VeryMe Rewards.

I think that says it all about the phone! Even for free there's no point picking this up when you consider the levels of frustration it'll cause you when you use it!

Questionable cashback entitlement as CB requires a handset purchase yet this thread suggests the purchase is exclusively for a top-up purchase plus a freebie, or maybe the merchant is too dim to differentiate

Great idea. Free coffee is the only thing O2 is good for

Shame it's £4.99 on Vodafone as that actually has much better rewards.

Dont buy it!!!! its tat and poor, slow , very sluggish.
I had one and threw it on wall.
It's not worth giving it to a 10 year old kid. I did 2 years back and bless him, when I broke it he started to cry. Then I said il buy you iPhone 6s, and thanks to mrswitch I bought him one from music magpie.

Anyway, for those talking about using it for o2 Priority... you don't need a separate phone for that. Put the SIM in your existing phone, do all the registration razzmatazz, then swap your normal SIM back in and you can continue using it on your regular phone from that point on.
Shame CPW don't offer 3 sims anymore. I'm after a PAYG one to check what their network speeds are like in my area before I jump to their broadband.

My Quidco tracked almost immediately. Free phone, as an upgrade for a phone I keep in the car for emergencies, plus possibly a free fiver.

I'm sure you appreciate that successful tracking has zero guarantee of subsequent successful cb payment.
Worth mentioning it has only 4GB internal storage which can be a nightmare even after adding sd card.

I am sure you did not mean to be patronising!
Edit. Just checked my Quidco account and all three previous CPW free phones tracked and payed out. They were all Alcatel freebies, bought with £10 top up.

OUT OF STOCK. Can't see expire option?
Available in store, just grabbed one as a backup. If you have travel tickets and your phone goes t*ts up, it would come in very handy..

It's android Oreo, 8.1.0, security update is 5 April 2019.

Mrswitch is a bad influence. I'd avoid him if I was you.

Na his saved me money.
Is the £10 top up linked to a sim or do you get a code? Would like to add it to my current sim. Tia
Having played with it a while the 4Gb storage is simply not enough.
I've installed 2 apps, Firefox and email program, 260mb, and all I have left is 531mb. If I install eBay and WhatsApp its out of memory, crazy....

I've put in a memory card but it doesn't really help as the apps still need to go on the internal storage, it's just their data that will go on the SD card..

Just put the sim in and no money on it . Anyone know what I need to do thanks
Just picked up my free o2 PAYG upgrade. Speaking to the guy in store, he said you can do this with o2 after 6 months of being on PAYG, so not sure if can get s similar deal in another 6 month, or if there is a certain amount of topup credit required.

You need to call 02 and tell them to change bundle package to actual credit, they will do so as I’ve done it many times

I completely forgot that I could do this! I have an o2 PAYG sim so that I can use Priority. It is the gift that keeps on giving! Sadly the Alcatel U3 is sold out online so got the Nokia 105 for £4.99 instead. So in another 6 months I can upgrade again!
I picked up the phone and sim today at the store. Phoned O2, asked for the bundle to be refunded and the credit transferred to my old O2 payg sim. All done, no questions asked.

Make no mistake but, the phone is sluggish, painfully slow and has no usable memory at all. After updating the apps, the remaining memory is less than 10%. It is good as a spare to make a call or check your email, but thats all, I'm afraid.
