You know you don’t have to be Vegan or Lactose Free to try different milks?

How do you get "milk" from oats?

Think it's the same as getting blood from a stone

It's a suspension liquid, similar to almond milk - fine powder mixed with water

What about the human cow?

Great move by Costa - bit weird they’re stopping it before Veganuary which I would have thought they would continue for good PR.

Don’t really know what point you’re trying to make? As I said you can still be none vegan and try different tastes? This milk isn’t exclusively for Vegans or Lactose intolerant humans.. Try one you might like it
Gollywood04/11/2019 17:28

So does Lactose free milk

But it's been altered to make it taste awful, sweet instead of creamy, yuk.
Most of these are roadside/services versions where prices are already massively inflated. Got a bit excited until I went through the list

Didn’t actually notice that. It is odd that it’s not every store

Yeah I checked for postcodes near me and all them are roadchef stops or services similar and Southampton airport. Looking at the rest it’s all very similar. I mean it’s decent for anyone passing through these until then but would be good if they did it at your normal high street stores.

Yeah just looked & there’s only one near me even though I have about 5+ Costas locally.. Thought it would be all of them to be honest.. Pretty poor from Costa.

It's been altered to allow lactose intolerant humans to drink milk!

And you want them to 'die off'!!!

Every proper Costa shop in my neighbourhood is included.
In some of the Prets it is free already, and they give a 60p reduction for using your own cup
There is a list of 21 pages of stores which aren't participating in this "offer". haha

Yep. "Milk" is marketing because no one is going to drink soya rinse

When time will come I believe you will be one of the first to fall. Zombie apocalypse usually the less intelligent creatures are the first to go.

What on earth is "a hand crafted hot drink " It's a cup of coffee for goodness sake and it certainly does not require anyones hands in it!

If you put an oat under a microscope you'll see that it has tiny tiny udders...
I would agree that oat "drink" is a better substitute than almond or soya "drinks" and even better, it has just started to be sold in Lidl, if you don't want to pay hipster rip off prices. Just remember if you heat it up, don't over-cook it.

it’s not that serious mate. It’s literally just different flavoured milk. Wouldn’t be no drama if no one else kicked up a fuss
Absolute rubbish. Huge sign explaining that free non dairy alternatives on offer and no mention of allergies etc... So I quite fancied trying a latte with coconut milk just to see what it's like and was literally interrogated by the branch manager. I had to wait for her to turn up then was asked s million questions about allergies after I explained that I don't have any... Apparently to be able to get a latte with coconut milk she had to fill out a form and write in the book etc.... All I wanted was a bloody coconut latte because the ad said it was free! I went next door to greggs instead. Ffs

What the hell? Never heard of that before.. Very strange. I don’t buy coffee anymore but when I used to I’d always have Coconut or Soya from Costa & never got asked any questions
yes free alternative milk whilst they put the normal milk drinks up 10p across the board to pay for it

Tried it myself without any problems.
Maybe it was a bad luck, but worst coffee ever; my advice: look for local gems instead of chains

Just had one today with almond milk, spiced cappuccino and a vegan Christmas sandwich very impressed. Just hope this will turn into a permanent move
