Exactly, who the hell does amazon think they are trying to dictate to us how we use the box.

I think it's because those Baby Boxes low-income families* get DO have boxes that can be used as cribs, and Amazon quite rightly are pointing out theirs isn't suitable.

Only know about the Scottish one, though, as I'm a Scot parentclub.scot/bab…box

What is Scotland's Baby Box?
The Baby Box is a welcome gift for every baby in Scotland due on or after 15 August 2017. It will help families prepare for the arrival of their baby and provide a safe and comfortable place for them to sleep. The box itself acts like a Moses basket as it comes complete with a mattress and bedding that fits perfectly.

New babies need a surprising amount of stuff! Scotland’s Baby Box is packed full of clothes, bedding and lots of other useful things to help give your baby the best possible start in life.

Scotland's Baby Box gives you some of the essentials for the early months of a new baby's life. It includes things like:

  • a selection of clothes from newborn up to the age of 6 months
  • everyday must haves, like a bath towel, a travel changing mat, muslin cloth squares and a bib
  • books so you and your wee one can read together
  • a digital ear thermometer for taking your baby's temperature

* Edit: I mistakenly thought the Baby Box was for low-income families, seems everyone is eligible! I hope wealthier families donate theirs.

If I remember it correctly, last time it was restricted to paid members of Prime and excluded Student & Trial prime members, but this time it clearly says "This Offer is only available to customers with a trial or paid membership to Amazon Prime or Amazon Student."

This will get hot here..Thanks OP...

You are most welcome
The last I got this box, amazon sent 2 items, one almost past sell by date and one already past it. They called me up the following day and warned me and gave me a credit of £35 on my account. Free box and free money

Same with me but got x2 £35 haha
I just created a wish list, added some items, added them to basket and it doesn't seem to be showing the free box at checkout. Any ideas?

Why not? You get sample breast pads and also discount for the electric breast pump. Then the bottles can also be used for the expressed milk..? It's free... Can't expect everything.

Can anyone see the "the Baby Box section of your Amazon Baby Wishlist" in his baby wishlist?

I can't see it either. Can see a link to a free MAM bottle when spending £10 but nothing about the baby box. I just purchased a baby health kit for >£20 and it has just dispatched. The MAM bottle discount doesn't work either.

I don't think this works for Prime Student

I don't think this works for Prime Student

It should be, if 'Amazon Student' is the same thing?

This Offer is only available to customers with a trial or paid membership to Amazon Prime or Amazon Student.
I have the Amazon prime "full" not the student or the trial
I have full prime membership and cannot see the link either?

I have student prime and i can see both links for the box as well as the free bottle
ive just spoken to someone on the live chat they said it was an ongoing issue and should be resolved within 24hrs.
not showing for me either. 20 mins of live chat with agent telling me it will show after purchase then it will be escalated to relevant dept and 48 hour response. will be my luck that it will be OOS by the resolve.
The terms say "not available with any other offer" - I wonder if getting the free MAM bottle kills this offer? Or using the NUS £10 off £40 offer at the same time? Hope not!
Decent
they mainly look like samples what they not only get free but no doubt get paid to give out to customers so not as good as it sounds if you ask me and its not free you have to pay £20, its free if you was going to buy £20 of items beforehand .
Still no joy for me, and items are dispatched. CS said it would be a few mins lol
Thank you. I made an order yesterday evening and was able to claim the box this morning.

Did the box appear to choose in your Baby Wish List? I've filtered Purchased and Unpurchased and nothing appears. It shows that I bought two things yesterday that added up to more than £20

Yes, on the left hand side of the Baby Wishlist a box appeared with a 'Claim Now' button.
Oh cool. Thanks, will try

Thanks. I've worked out why it's not working. I chose the No Rush delay-the-shipping-and-get-a-free-£1 delivery, so the main item doesn't ship until tomorrow. Worra chump I am.

[EDIT] Also the claim button has appeared showing the status of my progress and is telling me only £8.99 of my spend has been dispatched, which is really handy.

Checked mine today, nothing shows on the mobile version of the site for me but checked the desktop version from my mobile and it is there
Thanks for the heads up lets hope the 'claim now' button pops up for me before they run out of stock- seeing as I've lost out on sleep looking through random crap on amazon trying to make up a £20 basket
Anyone had any luck in getting their box? Amazon support keeps telling me to wait for the claim button to magically appear.

Should appear as soon as your items have been dispatched

Looking at the dimensions of the box, (31.4 x 28.9 x 12.5 cm) I don't know how you'd fit a baby in it anyway.

Thankyou for that
I am however having difficulty waiting for that button to appear as there seems to be an error, it's not adding up the total of dispatched items even though they are baby items on my baby wish list so should be eligible. Will just keep looking and hoping I don't miss out.

Did you put them on your wish list then go to wish list and add then from there to basket? Easy to miss this step and it would then not work

I added them to baby wish list and purchased from there - but I think what may of gone wrong is that once an item was dispatched it showed up on the total counting towards my eligible order- but my 2yr old randomly pressed the screen like a ninja which removed the item from my wish list and from my total spend but when I pressed undo it appeared as if it hadn't been purchased atall. It would appear the items must remain on your wish list even after purchase and not be deleted until after that box is claimed otherwise it takes it away from your total. I did speak to amazon support but I'm not sure if they even understood exactly what I meant
