If you're serious about learning Japanese, Wanikani is the only way to go really. It teaches words in a way that make more sense to foreign learners (as opposed to learning like Japanese children) and is by the far the best method I have tried. You have to pay for it but it's worth every penny imo.
    Me no speak English ...

If you want to learn Japanese words and Kanji. Wanikani is the way to go.
First three levels are free and it's like $5 a month.

It uses spaced repetition with mnemonics and a good set of groupings and words.

It will at it's fastest take 2 years. However going through reviews and lessons 20 mins a day has embedded a ton into my brain.
The Wanikani method is definitely the way to go, but there are free equivalents that also break down kanji into radicals and use spaced repetition. Although its humour can be crass, KanjiDamage is surprisingly accurate to what kanji will mean when you see them and there are non-crass versions like "KanjiDamage Plus+".
