Bit niche is this, but I'm eligible and I know two more people who are - and it's FREE!

TSB Bank Plc (“TSB”) are providing an Alcatel Pixi 3.5 smartphone as a free gift to

Existing TSB ONLINE FOR BUSINESS customers (ie not personal banking!)
Who registered for ONLINE FOR BUSINESS before April 2018.

Online for business is also used by people helping to manage social clubs, charities etc.

If this is you, apply via THIS LINKY www2.tsb.co.uk/bba…st/

You have to tick the box to confirm you haven't already got a IOS or Android device.

T&C HERE tsb.co.uk/sma…pdf

This seems to be the right phone (I'll update the post when mine arrives); gsmarena.com/alc…php
The phone is a basic device for use with new TSB Business Banking Authentication app, but that isn't pre-installed; the suggestion is you download it yourself from the PLAY STORE or whatever they call it now. Yes, the phone isn't an S8 or Note and may not be great for day to day use for some if not most people. But IT IS FREE!

TSB are dishing these out because their existing security system requires use of a smart card and card reader combo, which they are about to do away with in favour of an app that is not available for operating systems other than IOS and Android - leaving, for instance, Windows 10 Mobile Phone users out in the cold (regardless of what IOS and Android fan-people will say, Windows 10 is still used in business as it is arguably the most secure platform).

Interestingly, "In the event that you receive a device that is faulty, TSB are providing support. Should you require assistance in this regard, please email smartphonesupport@tsb.co.uk. If you have any problems with the app, visit tsb.co.uk/aut…app for more information." I imagine they will send another one out if the first doesn't work properly!

Thanks for the negatives guys! by the way, people are happily paying £25-£35 for these phones on the auction site that dare not speak its name ebay.co.uk/sch…684

It may be free but that is a terrible phone - If you have a credible business I have no idea why you want to attempt to use that mobile

Yes I have one and its an awful phone value about £15
It however is a truly awful phone and not worth a tenner.

TSB are only providing it for use with the app; conveniently it's about the same size as the card reader which users have to carry anyway. I imagine you will agree this phone has more functions thus is more useful than a card-reader!

Amazing phone
That's one way of scaring away potential customers
Even though it's a free phone the Alcatel 3.5 phone is a absolutely dreadful phone to use no wonder they are giving it away.
If the waiter put's 2 after dinner mints down on your plate, you can't grumble because they're After 8's. They're free!!!!!

You'll have to try using this phone with their app to know what I mean...

I would guess you'll end up inputting the wrong details and locking yourself out - It really isn't worth it

There is really nothing convenient about it!

A cheap calculator would be more useful
