Be even cheaper to buy a pen and paper too...

You probably ran excel and iTunes on the Mac but I am sure the Alienware allowed for some serious gaming. Mac's are overpriced garbage unless you want a safe eco system for the kids to browse in and not get malware

Diffrence would be you would expect a laptop designed for gaming would be able to handle gaming last longer than two years...
Heat! I got an Imac with the student pricing in 2013, it stills runs a treat today.

I don’t remember the last time I bought a pen - probably explains why all my pens have a Barclays Bank logo on them.

Same with my MacBook in 2010. Still going strong. A friend bought an Alienware laptop at the same time and that thing was dead within 2 years.

Not sure..maybe visited too many naughty sites. My msi is going strong for 4 years and cost me 100 pounds plus selling my 2010 MacBook Pro. Also Alienware is just a posh dell now.

Have they fixed the keyboard issue now?

Got the updated keyboards now with the nylon membrane

Yeah i heard they are removing the keyboard entirely and replacing it with one huge track pad, then to type the letter 'A' for example you just trace it out on the trackpad, its a revolution in the typing experience. It also comes free as standard if your are related to Tim cook, otherwise its just a small £200 additional fee

I was using for Avid Media Composer and Adobe After Effects. Steam for Mac was launched in 2010 and remember my friend deciding between a Mac or Alienware. He made his decision based on gaming but the spec were similar as was the price. The rest as they say is history.

I will agree that MacBooks now are not what they used to be. After 2015 they definitely stopped being ”Pro”.
My 2012 Macbook Air is still as good as the first day i bought it. Love Apple and the eco system. When people slag off apple hardware prices, they forget about *all* the Apple software that comes with it. Each to their own. If you like PCs, go buy a PC. simples.
Would this work in conjunction with the trade in offer? I’ve a 27” iMac and iPad to trade in!

My 2 MacBook pros had multiple issues including gpu needing a replacement. Problem with apple pricing now is you could get two high end pcs every 3 years or so for price of a decent MacBook Pro. Don't even get me started on the stupid iPad with keyboard 'silent' MacBook.

I guess if you are stuck in apple eco system, macbook is the way to go but android and pc works much better for me

Agree.

Once you go Mac, you don't go back

Yes, Apple products seem expensive, but they actually work and don't constantly f up!
Anyone know if there is any option for finance with this offer?

I've been using Macs daily for 30 years and don't use a single piece of the 'free' Apple software other than the system itself as it's all bettered by other products and uses Apple's own formats to try to lock you in. Luckily, the Mac OS is still Google/Microsoft friendly!

100%, not looking forward to the day my fully loaded 2015 Pro needs replacing and when my eldest went off to Uni last year I made a point of searching out a like new 2015 for him too.

I have a Dell, my partner has a Macbook - similar prices. Macbook is way better at multi-tasking, way better screen, battery lasts much longer and charges faster. Excellent for video and photo editing with fast export tines.

The only thing my Dell does better is occasional gaming, but I'd rather have a proper PC for that.
Thank you for posting. Great deal once again.
I've had my Alienware laptop for over five years with no issues. My PC Desktop for 10, running as good as when I bought it! Apple is overpriced and I'm sure there's a sneaky way to get the Mac operating system on Windows PCs(shock) ! Apple uses the same parts as the windows PCs, its all intel and what not, its not like they build their own infrastructure.

Besides you can afford to buy a few PCs for the same price as a Mac
Not all iPads are included, for example you can't get the beats with the 9.7" iPad (£303.60 for the 32gb version). That would've been a deal

Went with the Pro and so far liking it, especially the touch bar and Touch ID

Slightly missing the quietness of the fan less MacBook though
I can’t see the 10% off?
