Correct- That's a NI number to vote.
I think you also supply your NI number when you collect your beer ( They say so you only get 1 free beer, not more)

It says you need the reference no your given after you register not your national insurance no. Hot the more that vote the better gov.uk/reg…ote

Ironic, as if you're not on the electoral register you'll struggle to get any credit in the future...credit cards, mortgages, loans all need you to be on the electoral register.
