That was kinda my point too, albeit in a roundabout sort of way. Making your kids stand out from the herd, especially with something like this is not really a good thing...

Some dim witted comments about kids standing out, here.

But what if all the kids who have been bullied can look around and see other kids wearing the bands? See the solidarity. See that bullying should be an exception rather than the rule? And what if a bully looks up and seee the the herd is a lot stronger than bargained for? That's the point.
