Just check beforehand as not all Ford dealers participate.
not a freebie, as purchase required?????
hi, just had my car serviced and mot,not got any recovery as dealer will not do it,had it for last 4 years, not this time, phoned ford and it is participating dealers only i,m afraid, felt ripped off.
I'm on the service plan with my local Evans Halshaw Ford dealership, which gives you free (or you could argue that it's part of the service plan costs) AA cover.
Last time I used it, my suspension collapsed. AA van out in 20 mins, cut the suspension spring off, followed me to the dealership and I got a courtesy car while mine was prepared.

Seems like a good deal to me.

Tezino, I feel your pain. Fortunately I checked beforehand and changed dealers to ensure I got it. It is well worth it having used it in the past whilst abroad. Basically it is the AA who provide the service on Ford's behalf.

I think it is a freebie as if you own a Ford you will be getting your car serviced anyway but I can understand those who consider it as an offer as you factor it in when deciding to go to an independent or Ford participating service garage.

Great advert for their car servicing standards - of course this cost will not be included somewhere in their service charge - car dealers are always giving away freebies

Absolutely agree that their is no such thing as a free lunch. in my case the full service was £249 and the cost equivalent for the AA breakdown cover is around £180-£190 that makes the service way under £100.
Having just been caught out without cover on another car recently, I was about to buy Breakdown
They will buy it cheap from AA as breakdowns are supposedly less likely as the vehicle has been serviced. This used to be available on their value service but it would appear not anymore. I got it with my interim service so it was about the same price for service and breakdown cover as buying AA cover alone.
    Not a freebie.
used to be - got mine on a 3 year service plan and they will do it this year but - not on new services unless it's a newish car
