As far as I'm aware, most food banks don't take fresh goods with short dates. Not where I am anyway.
Besides that, regardless of their status, it was selfish. (edited)- If you haven’t tried roasted broccoli you need to
175° fan oven, chop broccoli, drizzle with oil, add salt & black pepper, roast for 20 minutes. Good with a roast or a curry - Carrots and parsnips in Morley, Leeds too.
Glad it's not just food bank clients getting things for free as people on minimum wages also struggle. Thanks Asda.

You would really have to question your life choices if you can't afford a 20p pack of veg. If you people can't afford that then how do they function at all in life?

Asda Wallington must be a relative- 10p and 11p per pack in York Layerthorpe although it has been free after Christmas before.

Sounds like Asda has a had a good financial year again- They had loads near entrance in Mansfield Asda and on veg section was only 20p though usualy more I’m sure so surplus stock also I think

Good initiative though. - When they bring the reduced veg out at my local asda (fullwood Preston) its like a bun fight so God only knows what it'll be like if it's free !!! . I've seen people just grab it irrespective of what it is.

You're right something ain't sustainable and thats the amount of poverty this country has everything is raising in price and official inflation numbers are lies and are going to raise more over the year in particular food for some its a choice between food or heating this winter
Also heat op free good food is always good less waste too (edited)- Wasn't free in my local store. Still 20p
