Build A bug hotel

Your mission is to welcome bugs and other insects to your patch of nature by building a bug hotel. By creating a haven for these little critters, we can help them and the other animals that depend on them to thrive. Despite all the good things they do, lots of people don’t like bugs and other insects.

Just went to my local Iceland, they know nothing about it. I did spend £15 on stuff I didn't need though...
I thought this was some kind of insect detection kit used for seedy hotel stays.

What do vegans do if they get bed bugs? Politely ask them to leave?

are you suggesting non-vegans would simply eat the bed bugs
Great initiative! Thanks op

Great post @Chanchi32

I already have a couple that I've had for a few years and its obvious are in full use.
Thanks for this, another one won't hurt and will help the project
I think it’s more p.c to call them children, admittedly they can carry a lot of germs but I never thought they would be giving them away at Iceland!
Cold, only a 2 star.

Went to the Iceland in Glasgow, Bridgeton this morning but they had no clue.
Makes a change from them promoting bugs and insects being eaten, I suppose.
Don’t go out of your way to get one! It’s literally a piece of A4 card that you cut out.

A bit of a let down, was expecting something a bit more substantial !! but, then what do we expect for free, I cannot see my Grandchildren actually doing what it says, plus not sure how long it will last outside, especially with the weather we are having.

Thanks for this. It has seriously saved me time today. I will make an attempt to construct on with my granddaughter.
It would have been more beneficial for them to not bother and to leave the tree(s) for the bugs instead of felling them to print this rubbish.

Showing you age there. Bejam! Havent hears heard that name in years!
Perfect for making your neatly tended garden look like Steptoe's Yard and they make perfect fuel for fire raisers.

If you live in a rough(ish) area, keep these well away from the building and secure them with bike chains.
