I pop into my local homebase regularly and always find free stuck to take away as its out of date. If you get to know the manager, the manager gives you heads up on expiring stocks and on some occasions keeps it aside for you. Great bargain.. cant be better than FREE

the manager should be teaching his/her staff how to stock rotate if this is happening on a regular basis......in the long term giving stuff away drives up the prices
Hahaha but we can't all get to know the managers But good on you!

Chuck in the bin. I used some out of date stuff a few weeks back just to level some bumps before tiling. Mixed in one room, carried bucket to the kitchen and already going hard

I used out of date (3 month's) multi finish plaster, used it with no problem at all, didn't go off any faster than other multi finish, but did take longer to mix because of the clumps, I used a sieve for the other bags though, but it shouldn't go off faster than usual, that normally happens if you add more water after it's mixed.
I am using the hukd app and it is not showing which store this is in

I have had stuff work ok, stuff not setting, stuff going hard. Its not worth the risk - my father and brother are both plasters and they say its unpredictable. Water will not really retard it since its a chemical reaction that causes the setting

I'm not a plasterer, but my mate is, he said if you add water after it is already mixed it will go harder quicker, I didn't believe him, but tried it myself and it went off within about 10 minutes of adding more water.
This will encourage cowboy builders

Lol yes that's wat happens to plaster maybe if it's a few days then u should be ok or if ur mixing a Bit at a time wouldn't bother if u are doing a full room with out of date stuff though better to spend 5 on a bag and get it done properly than having to spend all that time going to the tip and getting rid of the stuff and buying new buckets etc.
I guess out of date sand is OK but the rest of it.......I'm not so sure?!?!?!
I thought only supermarket food went out of date.
This is normal in diy shops. My plasterer told me his lucky to get less dates on plaster, they all die for it but charge us full price!

Are you suffering from dementia? Its not porridge its plaster bags
Personally I would dump the plaster out and take the wheels
Please DO NOT use out of date plaster, don't even ask how I know this...
You will be stuck with a piping hot plaster cured within 2-3minutes on a wall you can do nothing with, but scrape off and start over with a trip for a fresh plaster..
I'm usually pretty relaxed with out of date stuff but this stuff- Don't even think about it It really has an expiration date...

I wouldn't worry about it, I doubt He will be there much longer when Head Office finds out He's given stuff away free to the Locals now that someone has plastered it all over HotDealsUK.

Plastered it............ Get it.
