The Belsay and Wallington Express X75 bus is back for 2023 and this year the bus will be free for all visitors to Belsay Hall and Wallington, supported by English Heritage and National Trust.
The X75 bus will connect Newcastle city centre with Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens and Wallington, with four return services every Saturday, from 6 May until 2 September.
Go North East's X75 service stops off at Belsay Hall, Bolam Lake and Wallington and will run every Saturday from 6 May until 2 September 2023 from Haymarket bus station in Newcastle city centre.
For 2023, the bus is free to all visitors heading for Belsay Hall and Wallington as the service is running in partnership with English Heritage and the National Trust. Visitors to Wallington and Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens will also get a 20% discount on entry.
There are four departures per day on Saturdays this summer, with the first bus leaving Newcastle at 9:30am and the last returning from Wallington at 5pm.
Dan Graham, Commercial Development Manager at Go North East, said: "We're delighted to announce the return of the Belsay and Wallington Express X75 bus. Working in partnership with our partners at English Heritage and National Trust, the service will be free to use for visitors heading to Belsay Hall and Wallington.”
Go North East operates several tourist routes around the North East, including the AD122 which takes in sites along Hadrian's Wall and was named one of the country's most scenic bus routes.
Alongside the return of the X75, Go North East also announced that it will also bring back the Toon Tour this summer, an open-top sight-seeing bus showing off the best of Newcastle and Gateshead.

Shame Arriva can’t do something like this also. Guess they spent all their money on the new ‘Tap on tap off’ system which doesn’t always work. (edited)
