FREE Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombie Map + Dead Ops / Zork Minigames

Launch the game, click the Start button, when the options comes to select Campaign, Multiplayer, instead repeatedly press R2+L2 (RT+LT on XBox), you should remove the shackles (whilst also earning a trophy).

Next go and find the computer and use it. It will ask for a code on the DOS prompt, input the following:

3ARC UNLOCK - this will unlock the Zombie Map called "FIVE" featuring JFK, Castro & Co
DOA - this will unlock the Dead Ops Arcade minigame
ZORK - this will unlock Zork, a textbased adventure game

For those who are having a blonde moment, heres a vid tutorial as chri1143 mentioned in the forum: gamerant.com/cal…58/

I have tried and verified all 3 working on the PS3, am assuming should also work on XBox by pressing the bottom two trigger buttons.

Those who were already considering buying Zork or DOA, dont miss your opportunity to get a free copy of BlackOps with it!

So Lock n Load.... :j

Anyone got this to work on the xbox?

Yep! Working on 360 too.

So, is it any better than MW2 then????? - I mean multiplayer though - not too fussed on single player

reading alot about black ops being really bad compared to the other call of dutys, whats your thoughts on this ?

PC users look down and hammer the space bar

On the XBOX what does he mean "Next go and find the computer and use it. It will ask for a code on the DOS menu" ?!

Thanks

Thanks very much gave this to my son

3ARC UNLOCK - this will unlock the Zombie Map called "FIVE" featuring JFK, Castro & Co
DOA - this will unlock the Dead Ops Arcade minigame

Aren't these cheats? In the guide I got with the game it gives you these but says it will affect your unlocks.

They are unlocked at the end of the campaign anyway, so go careful if you've built up a load of awesome unlocks!

I have to say with such high expectations for what was deemed to be the … I have to say with such high expectations for what was deemed to be the GOTY i was hugely disappointed, to say the least its different compared to MW2 (well they are from 2 different publisher). Graphics imo seem poorer, killstreaks are weak n not much fun (except the rc xd), the maps on MW2 seemed more intuitive n interactive and better thought through (although it may be because we dont know the maps yet). i also liked the spec ops on mw2 coz it had a gud mixture of stealth, sniping, run n gun etc, whereas zombies over n over again ?! Also the biggest criticism ppL had was the fact treyarch took out quickscopin and dropshotting, although they may be a bit cheap at times, but imo there was a certain element of skill involved, but more importantly it was fun, and they took it out for those who enjoyed it since COD1.There are a few plus sides, iv heard the campaign mode is v.gud (although not played it yet), the online customisations/currency/contracts is very good.I personally think i will be alternating between B.Opz n MW2, eventually going back to MW2 in the end (similar to how ppL went back to MW soon after WaW came out)

Oh

Thanks Otherhalf happy

Thx for your time replying, i thought waw was not to bad, is graphics as good as that thou ?, i guess mw2 just set the standard to high it seems.

Im glad i did not trade in mw2 for black ops, was not going to anyway, will still be a great game for a few years yet!

thanks OP

nice thanks

Liking the Dead Ops Arcade game a lot, cheers. As far as Black Ops is concerned I wasn't going to buy, but I had some old games to trade in and I decided to give it a go to at least fill the void until Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. Got to say I am liking the missions a lot, but I am not overawed by the whole man in a chair being forced to re live old memories cut scenes and the flashing number thing is getting on my nerves a bit. Have dabbled with the Zombie levels (What is the facination with Zombies in video games?) and don't think it has great lasting appeal.

How do I do this on the WII please gents ? It says on that page I clicked the link to, that you can do this on all consoles, pc,ps3,360,and wii.

Cheers in advance,

Stu

To be honest, this game is definitely better than MW2 in my opinion. COD4 was immense, WaW was somewhat mundane, and while MW2 was very good, it just didn't hit the same level of immenseness that COD4 had because of the sheer volume of glitches, hacks and bugs. Every match on MW2 involved some form of glitch, hack or bug, and that is being totally honest. It had potential to be an outright classic but Infinity Ward faffed it up by not protecting the game enough.

Black Ops though is really brilliant and the new points/currency system is a touch of class. Why should I have to wait hours and hours and hours on end just to unlock certain scopes for specifics weapons, providing I've levelled up enough and used the weapon in question constantly. It's a far better system now and gives the player a great freedom of choice, and allows the player to fully customise his weaponry on his own terms - to an extent. Treyarch have struck gold with the new system.

The gampleay itself is great too, and feels a great deal more balanced than MW2 ever did. The kill streaks aren't overpowering anymore and there is very rarely the sight of a noob-tube. The game encourages more tactical and precision play, even in the smaller faster paced maps. Whereas on smaller maps on MW2 it descended into frag fests and grenade launchers, in BO however, everyone is using bullets instead of bombs. The weaponry itself seems a lot more fun to use also, bar the sniper rifles unfortunately which I'm finding a bit hit and miss now. Sometimes I get one shot kills in the upper body, other times the enemy sprints away. Anywhere in the chest up should be an instant one shot kill I believe using a sniper rifle, however I hear the "classified" sniper (classified as you have to purchase the other 3 before you receive the chance to unlock it) is a one hit kill sniper rifle so that will be great to use I can imagine.

The whole interface for Black Ops is a lot nicer too, and while the graphics are probably a step down just ever so slightly, the gameplay at it's core is a lot more balanced making it more fun - even if I am getting my ass handed to me most of the time at the moment.
