WeQ4U is a FREE App and Service that helps you get through to UK Call Centres without getting stuck in the queue. Mobile users save approx. 30p per minute on their 08 calls with this app, whether they get stuck in the queue or not, so it saves you money and time.

You can download the App from both the Android and IOS markets

You can also use the service through a landline by first dialing 0121 667 5969

* Calls are routed through a local rate number, so will be part of your inclusive minutes

Advantage of this service, is that it does all the work for you. You just need to type in the premium rate number of the company you want to call and then will convert it to a local rate number. In addition, it saves having to wait on hold in the queues.

so does this show you the geographical land line NUMBER ONCE YOUVE RANG THE 08 NUMBER?

So this app is able to convert all 0845, 0870 and 0871 numbers to geographical numbers? saynoto0870 is free but sometimes, the numbers listed are incorrect.

seems cool, but cant find it on play store on galaxy tab

App doesn't fully open on my iphone

Seems great, got a number for the freephone numbers but this is even better!

I use 0800 app, paid 99p and it's saved me tonnes. The app has fab search facility and stores your searches, the one posted looks dodgy

Pretty safe, Metro featured this app some months ago

Robot, do you have the app. And what do you think, does it work?

I've called a few companies and it's worked perfectly. You enter the telephone number into the app. The app then dials a local rate number, which connects you to the company. If you're stuck in a queue, you dial 9* and the call will hang up. The app will then redial the number automatically when an agent comes to the phone, which avoids being 'on hold'.

The website has a FAQ section: weq4u.co.uk/

Very useful and quicker than say no to 0870. Cheers

Jumping you are funny :-)
I just redial or put it on speaker phone.
I have unlimited minutes!

If it doesn't work, just save 0121 667 5969 (access code) to your phone and then you need to dial that number to enter the premium rate number. You should receive a miscall when the agent becomes available, in which case you just redial the number to be connected through.

Haven't tried this yet but if it works (especially the "wait off hold" feature) it will be excellent.

Still utterly ridiculous to have to go through such a palaver to contact companies, Government departments, etc without incurring a huge phone bill, as if the phone companies don't make enough money - it's long past time such numbers used inclusive minutes.

just used it to phone tesco direct, worked a treat thanks!

You can still use the service from your inclusive minutes even of you cant download the app, by dialling the 0121 access number. Just called Sky Customer Service 0844 number using it no probs.

Be handy if you could find a list of the companies on their database.

Could be because it's an app for phones rather than tablets?

Looks like it, got it on my G300

Looks good at first glance. Some worrying security issues amongst the reviews, though, particularly relating to contacts, and personally I wouldn't be prepared to risk it until it's been around a lot longer than it has been. You're handing quite a lot over to it, after all:

The app stores the contact 'weq4u' to your phone, so that when it calls back, you'll know it's from that company and not a random phone number

I know that's the line they push, but there are reports of people making 'free' calls that turned out to be pretty expensive. I suppose it depends how much you trust the app provider, and I think the jury's still out on that one.
