This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Found this deal on Canary's own website when I was searching for a home security camera. Instead of paying for the camera, their offer is a free All-in-One camera when purchase with a 1-year Membership of £79.

I am not saying this is the one to go for, but it has a few functions I really like.

  • 1080p Full HD video with night vision
  • 147° field of view ( it can cover much wider view so you can see much more)
  • App connected without hub
  • Work with Googld Assistant and Amazon Alexa (live video to Echo Show, Echo Spot, Fire TV, and Fire TV Stick (2nd generation))

The "All-in-One" name is to do with the additional functions this camera also come with such as:-

  • built-in 90 decibel siren ( not automatic turn on, only manual switch from app)
  • Temperature, humidity and air monitor

Like all other home security cameras, there are functions only avaliable with subscription or membership. I found a good review article with comparison from specs, video quality and subscription cost/functions etc.

Canary Membership

There are other articles I read has more information on good home security cameras:-
expertreviews.co.uk/ip-…buy
t3.com/fea…era
kb.arlo.com/000…ras
9to5mac.com/201…te/

Canary Amazon alexa and Google Assistant integrations:-
Using Canary with Amazon Alexa
use Google Assistant and Google Home with Canary

I opted for the Canary All-in-One and I can hopefully try out their full membership. For £79, I think it will a great addition to my smart home system.

I’d argue they’re on borrowed time then if they need to give the cameras away as you don’t see nest or hive etc doing this because they don’t need to

They are not really giving them away, you still have to pay £79

Well they are giving you the camera if you pay for the annual membership so they are and all the others have subscriptions just the same so this company are giving the camera away plus charging you an annual sub whereas the others are selling their cameras AND charging an annual sub
Good but unless you keep subscribing no good, but to be honest all providers slowly moving to that model, even my Ring and now Arlo.

But Canary are greedy, others offer more than basic for free, Canary moved their free services and charge, I.e. free means only 10 sec clip
After the first year you can cancel. I have 2 canaries and they work perfectly. I am on the free programme and no complaints, great devices, great service.
Got burnt with canary when I bought my unit and they nuked the facility the device provided to try and force you into an on going subscription despite all the packaging promising otherwise. Would never trust canary again, the damage was done even if they slowly crawl back. Go with a self hosted camera instead if you have the choice

Not true. I've had canary for years and never had a subscription. They offer a far better model to ring.com etc. You get notifications of movements and 30 seconds of recordings for each clip without any membership.

My point is a 30 sec clip you cannot download without subscribing is a bad deal.

Also they have move free services to now pay, whereas as other providers offer greater AI control now.
Plus any burglar would just smash it in a few seconds, alarm overridden.

Only thing that appealed to me was the air quality monitoring anyone know if it is any good.
Might try it out for this price. Will read reviews first though.

Screen record if you wanna download it
As Matt said, returning some of their services to the free account can never undo the damage that they have done to their customers' trust. How do you trust theiving people to look after your security?
Exactly why we went for SkyBell HD and Logi Circle cams. The circle free plan is great.
