FREE CD of The Sound of Music in next weekend's Mail on Sunday (5th October 2008)

Just noticed this at the MailOnline website, so thought I'd give people the heads up

"Inside every copy of next weekend's Mail on Sunday (5th October 2008) you'll find a free copy of The Sound of Music CD.

The final score written by the Broadway duo of composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein II, The Sound of Music was a smash hit on Broadway and in London?West End before being transformed into a movie musical phenomenon in 1965. Starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, directed by Robert Wise and filmed partly on location in Salzburg, Austria, The Sound of Music was the top-grossing film of its era, and remains the most successful movie musical of all time.

Nominated for ten Academy Awards, it won five, including Best Picture, Best Sound Recording, and Best Scoring of Music (adaptation) by the legendary Irwin Kostal. From its first, record-breaking run on stage at London?Palace Theatre in the early 1960s, through the zaniness of the sing-a-long A Sound of Music craze, and the huge success of the West End?current smash hit revival presented by Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Sound of Music has always been one of Great Britain??vourite things."

The soundtrack spent over seven years in the album charts in the UK, and in the turbulent rock ? roll era of the Swinging ?s, it is worth noting that the UK?best-selling album of the entire decade was?he soundtrack to The Sound of Music. Clearly this recording, like the edelweiss flower itself, will ?oom and grow forever".

Make sure you don't miss next weekend's giveaway CD which includes classic tunes My Favourite Things, The Sound of Music, Do-Re-Mi and Edelweiss."

Was going to post this, I bet there are a few deals on this CD posted in the next week as stores try to get rid of it before it is given away free with the newspaper!

OK, just trying to confirm why people of giving this thread negative feedback (but I accept their choice).

The thread is freebies and this offer, in my opinion, falls within that remit.

Any clues would be greatly appreciated.

sorry but I think the cold votes are because you have to spend money to get it - even if it is only a pound or so. Try reposting in deals forum.
