Not my kind of film but heat from me.
Heat added thanks
The main “actor” is a C lister that came 2nd in the BBC talent show-themed television series I’d Do Anything in 2008
I’ll certainly pass on this... I don’t think ‘Avengers: Endgame’ has anything to worry about
Saw it last night. Good film based in Glasgow. Country music and a gritty story line. Worth watching.

Thank you for defending struggling independent films that need the exposure like Avengers 4

How dare these kind of “films” think they can charge the same cinema ticket prices as something as huge &, guaranteed, entertaining as The Avengers. Just a waste of a big screen that could be showing a blockbuster made exactly for the cinema screen! This kind of “film” is exactly what Netflix & Film4 is made for.

I'd much rather watch a film like Three Billboards.. etc than another Marvel or DC clone film.

Well then aren’t you lucky you now have a free ticket! You will probably have a blast this year because “films” like this seem to have to give away tickets for anyone to go and watch them
Ps: before you start claiming they are all clones, I would highly suggest you first watch the ‘JOKER Official Trailer (2019)’ with Joaquin Phoenix. That sure doesn’t look like a “DC clone” movie... just saying

Free film but £20 on 'refreshments'. At least I don't have to worry about who is going to save the world - again!

Superhero films are guaranteed entertainment now? Guess you never saw Batman V Superman.

I'm sure every aspiring filmmaker with the audacity to make someone a little more thought-provoking than 'spandex man punches aliens' shouldn't bother going to the effort of good cinematography, acting, writing and expensive post-production (even on indie films) given how you feel about their efforts.

And btw, I love superhero films. But I also love variety and new ideas as well.
Thank you

Sky VIP app had this movie available for free yesterday. I had 2 tickets but took a bad turn and couldn't make it.
Thank you! I’ve ordered for Bluewater however it says ticket may not guarantee entry

I’m already winning just like Black Panther did at the Oscars, and look forward to many more to come
Enjoy your watching your gritty, depressing, “indie films” that no one cares about... even the BAFTA awards don’t care about them anymore

Erm pretty sure shes done other stuff in 11 years.
......

Most recently, Buckley appeared on four BBC television series, as Marya Bolkonskaya in BBC's adaptation of Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace,[2] as Lorna Bow in Taboo[3] as Honor Martin in The Last Post, and as Marian Halcombe in The Woman in White. Not to mention her previous film Beast, which won BAFTA Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, or Producer (Seeing as we seem to be basing film quality on awards)

It’s well worth a watch, she’s great in it, and it’s on Amazon Prime at the moment.

Yep, I watched it on Thursday with Sky VIP. The film had a good basic plot but I found that the timeline was all over the place. It showed her going to Nashville, then 5 mins later she is in a concert hall where everyone is listening her sing. The journey to how she became successful was never shown fully and that storyline could have been exploited so much more.
