Thats shocking Anything from cost to free deserves heat, so heat applied

Agree it should free anyways, all the other major retailers don't charge so don't see why boots has too. But it's free to store if you order in store, go figure

Nice find, gooner! Heat added.

So they're no longer going to charge you for bothering them by going instore and picking up stuff. Wow, how could anybody refuse an offer like that?

Pointless why can't they just offer free delivery.

they never should have started charging.

I think it is useful if your local branch doesn't stock stuff they have on their site, so you order online the items in question and collect it locally, not rocket science.

If u order in store at a till then there is no minimum spend for collection anyway - just means 2 trips to ur store!

Nice! Have some heat!

Charging to collect your own items? Stupid Boots.

Voted hot anyway.

Like so many others, stunned that they ever had the barefaced cheek to charge for delivery to their own stores!

Given the prices they charge (so much higher than their competitors) and their notorious tax avoidance (despite the fact that it's robbing the NHS of cash) beats me why they still have any customers! Do people like being ripped off by a company that isn't even British any more?

The number of diehard apple fanboys on sites like this clearly confirms the answer to that question.

Why would I pay to collect something from a store?

If anything I would expect them to pay me for the loyalty.....

For example when I pick up my take away food from the local Indian, Chinese, Cantonese etc etc they offer a 10% discount. However if I want to have it delivered, they place a minimum £20 order for delivery.......

Come on Boots, follow the steps of my weekend curry

no minimum spend? I should think so too, tuh

Amazed that anyone should think taking themselves to the shop to pick stuff up should ever have cost them anything oO

So not a deal. Boots, hang your heads in shame.

Could I get something delivered to the boots in Manchester airport?

Cheapest item in boots? Lol add about 50 just to **** them of packing that stuff

Why?

Boots, a chemist, where they sell all sorts of over the counter chemicals, not to mention batteries and someone asking if they deliver to Manchester airport. Call me a cynic, but I am just trying to put virtual dots together. If I am wrong and making an assumption please excuse me

From your comments, I can only assume you have never been in an airport. For your information there is a boots chemist in pretty much every airport in the uk!

Now can anyone tell me if I can get my toiletries and Sun creams delivered directly to Manchester airport boots? It will save me on luggage allowance if I can

How on earth is this in anyway a deal? Just go to the store and buy them for free any time you want, the fact they charge for click and collect normally at all is utterly ridiculous.

I assume they pay a courier to deliver it to the store like a few other chains do so I don't see what's so scandalous about passing on the cost?

Not that I follow the logic of people on here. If the items you want are reliably available in store at the same price then why would you use click and collect at all, free or not?

boots is an absolute rip off. was looking at a braun electric toothbrush. they were selling for £200 and i got it from amazon for 70

I live in a market town with a small Boots. Only has the essentials so if like I have done in the past want some bigger items or even something like perfume/aftershave that is not in the 20 or so they have in store I use the service.
I don't want to drive into town pay parking etc so it's perfect for me and clearly good for plenty of others also.
My items have always been over £20 but it would cost me more than £1.95 in fuel or bus or parking to go to a bigger store anyway.

I know Tesco etc do it for free and don't disagree that maybe Boots should to but at present it is not free hence this is a deal.

I never fail to be dismayed when people swoon over free click and collect. Still, this is the country where companies make a profit on phone calls about faulty goods or services.

When I tell overseas friends they find both things hard to believe
