Free .COM domain

Its pretty simple to do and there is no card details or identification required!

Go to this website : register.it/hos…eng
- Choose a linux hosting package (I personally chose the Enterprise, because why not its free!)
- Next you will need to sign up with your real details or fake but either way you will need an active email to activate your account.
- After you have activated your account go to : controlpanel.register.it/wel…tml and log in with your email and password.
It will take you to the control panel where and on your right under 'Your products' it will say 'To be activated; .com domain for free'.

The best thing is when the trial runs out it isn't set to auto renewal so you get to keep your domain free for a year!

Enjoy! Any feedback is appreciated and if anyone needs help feel free to ask

*A free .com domain with a Linux Hosting trial activation - The offer is valid until the 30/11/2016. It is possible to register only one free .com domain per customer regardless the the number of trials activated. The bonus to register the .com for free will be available on the Control Panel for 15 days and .com will still be valid even if the Linux Hosting product is not purchased at the end of the trial period.

Renewal or transfer of domain after the first year costs €30 which is more than double the price of most registrars. For that reason I wouldn't bother.

Ouch that is quite high, i normally renew my more decent ones at about 9 quid, could be useful for promoting an offer for a year though then just let it expire, thanks for the info

After some research:

I would not recommend this for the *long term user*, but for an exact year its perfect! (Please do not get this if you decide to continue using it afterwards, because the charges on Register.it are very high)

geordiemax it might be worth adding, this freebie maybe useful for people studying web design or need a testing site to develop their skills.

Heat given. Years ago I found a company called NameDemo that did the same thing...but can't find that business no more.
When it expires, can't you just go to any other host and purchase the domain name cheaper there?

Thanks, just registered:
