i would have to go really out of my way to get a free comic book.

cheers for that I think i will take my son to see what he can choose...do you get a choice ?

You get to choose from a ]selected collection. Although some shops (like Nostalgia & Comics, wish I still lived in Birmingham) are really generous and give you extra comics & goodies for free. Different shops have different policies - some let you have one of each, some only one.

any store in sheffield area please?

Nearest one in 20 minutes away sadly

Thanks!!!

How did I not know about this!? I'll be off to town in the morning!! Thanks!

In Manchester head to Forbidden Planet although they are likely to be stingy with the free-bees, I think Travelling Man are doing it this year too and they are great so they'll be my first stop.

Edit: Side-note Travelling Man usually do 2 for 1 on back issues on fcbd too.

I advise people to go VERY early. I tried last year's event, going at about noon and all the comic book stores in central London (see list above) said they'd been emptied out. I only wanted one particular comic and a nice customer in one comic shop overheard me asking for it, opened his backpack and gave me his spare copy. I was getting the comic on behalf of a friend and hadn't bought a comic in over 40 years. But I was impressed by what I encountered, a really pleasant and friendly crowd of eccentric individuals! :-D A couple of weeks later I was back again buying a comic (but this time on my own behalf).

My local didn't have the free warmachine heroclix figure If someone could pick me one or two up I'd poverty p&p and would really apreciate it
thanks slot

Same here!

Went to FP London, Comicana & Orbital
All claimed they had none of the War Machine!

Does anybody want to trade any of the comics they got? I missed out on getting some that I would have loved.

Looking for Toy Story, Worlds of Aspen, Mouse Guard/Fraggle Rock, Fearless Dawn, S.E. Hinton / Fame, The Tick #1, Atomic Robo, Owly And Friends, The Overstreet Guide, Bongo: Free-For-All, The John Stanley Library.

No War Machine in Manchester but i'm sure it said on the website last year the figure was only for America.

What there was toys free!

I forgot and only realised 5.05pm when it closed at 5pm and I was 1 minutes walk away grrr lol.
