Free I like the sound of that

Thanks..Hot

These seem good, may be taking my A+ soon, so be helpful to overview everything I've learnt.

great stuff as you would normally have to to pay for heaps (£200 or over) for the courses like Network+ training.

Rather good the videos as well Heat+

only found this myself last weekend

recommended to a friend, seems to be well presented, clear

she's working towards her A+, and the vids are about 10 mins each so can be viewed in small parts when you've only got a few mins to spare at a time

I was using this back in September, why on earth didn't I post it!? Well done OP!!

this maybe a good deal, i.e. free, but i would recommend against any comptia products.

I feel these are over priced (exams that is i think the a+ costs around £200), and are regarded and recognised poorly in the market place. you would be better taking 2 microsoft certs, and the ccna

I did the Comptia A+ in a local college for free as my Step mum works there.

I work in software development and wanted to increase my knowledge of hardware.

It is so easy! I think i could have passed blindfolded. Seriously simple stuff.

Thanks for the heads up!

How do the sit the exams associated with these videos?

Good videos

Took the A+ in 2005 these videos would have been handy.

Can somebody tell me where is the free stuff? when I clicked on main scrren it ask me for my payment card detail? is that any software which can download the video so I can watch them locally alter on ?

Do you get a qualification after completing the course and do you have to pay for the qualification?

I would like to know this too, anyone??

You get the qualification after you have taken and passed the exams which you have to pay for.

The videos are only to help you study for the exams

I used this website to pass my N+ last year, as peterpickles said, this is just a learning program, once your confident that you have understood all aspects of the course, try taking some free online mock tests, if your getting 100% all the time on those (or close to 100%) then book an exam at a local test centre - these can be found using the Prometric website - http://www.prometric.com.
The exam costs around £170.

Thanks for this

Great find. Have some heat!

anyone actually done this

Someone just rang me from Home Learning College, offering me this Comptia A+ and Network + Certification Training course for £95 a month over 24 months with exams included plus personal tutoring...

http://www.homelearningcollege.com/Courses/IT-And-Computing/CompTIA-Network-Plus/

He said I need to put in 6-10 hours a week to complete the Comptia A+ in 6 months and a further 6 months to complete the Network + Certification Training Course.

Is this a good deal or is it really a waste or money

Home learning college charged you £95, thts cheap considering JUST I.T tried to charge me over £6k and thats with funding, they say they will find me atleast a 24k job when i know you can do it for £300 and with these qualifications anyone will hire you, i told em to stick it where the sun dont shine, i can do my masters for that kind of money and have money left over lol im assuming this free offer on hotuk, just teaches you and doesnt give you exams etc

Where can you do it for £300?
Is that just for the exams?

no it was a offer from this org which came to our university forgot the name but at the time i didnt know what this course was so i was like £300 wtf lol and this was excluding exams, you will have to pay for exams separately, this was based for 6 months.

the home learning offer seems decent for 12 months its £1140, and i was told you can do it within 6 months too and most stuff i would already know because i studied Information systems at uni he also said networking course was a bit more intense. Im sure i can get job center to help me by funding this, lets see how much they offer, p.s if you look around you will get it cheaper

These are good videos to study with, I passed my A+ on an apprenticeship all paid for and I only needed 2 weeks to learn all the material and I passed first time, there's no way in hell you need 24months to study and the cost is a joke, I wouldn't bother there just a con!
