Free Condoms
I saw the link to the BOGOF condoms from boots and wondered if people still buy their condoms?

If you find your nearest Family Planning Clinic Centre (on this site) and you get the time of the clinic, book yourself in, go and see them and they give you a bag of free condoms, usually get a good 30 or so.

Would have thought this is well known but just incase it isn't......

They also give the female contraceptive and also arrange all tests for STDs etc as well as monitoring your health if needed.

i love the tags to this

you can also get a free bag full of condoms from your GP as well. GPs are responsible for promoting good sexual health and help with family planning options and generally have boxes of condoms supplied by the PCT which they give to patients who asks for them, same like being prescribed oral contraceptive pills for women.

Why the cold voting though? Free condoms instead of the £7.50 BOGOF which has been voted hot!!!

Yeah keralaguy I should have mentioned that.

Voted hot - Cant argue with free stuff

haha the tags are funny.

good advice too, i would have thought people knew about it aswell.

You forgot one important point though!

When I used to go to the family planning clinic a couple of years ago, they did give out free condoms but always durex extra safe! the thickest condoms ever . lol

Is there an age limit on the free family planning condoms?

I used to go when i was 15-20 but haven't been in ages

I was in there a few weeks ago (getting my holiday shots, mine does those too) and it was full of kids - I was so shocked they looked about 13. All getting pregnancy tests and STD checks. Awful. As far as I know there is no age limit on the contraception they give out though.

At least these kids are being sensible and actually getting tested.

Yeah the question is, are they gettin tested just so they can carry on knowing they got away with it before

Brook now only serve 19 and unders, and I think most other 'youth' service ones will be good for up to 25. Not sure about stuff for older peeps though...

A number of family planning clinics are for younger people but most are just general clinics for any age.

People are there for a variety of reasons. You cannot assume they are all there to be tested for diseases. The majority of young people just want advice and I applaud the fact that they make the effort to get it, rather than listen to inacurrate stuff. Some women go to get their smears done there, routine stuff.

A couple of points, you should not need an appt for condoms , they should give them out on request. Likewise with health centres, when you ask they should be given to you. Not all health centres understand this.
