I used PSP ages ago and it was pretty good. hmmm our friend google might find a way to use it without the spyware. Curious, What software other people are using to touch up their holiday snaps?

Good find - thanks

Picasa has a decent set of simple to use tools. I also use PhotoFiltre (Free) photofiltre.en.softonic.com/ which has a comprehensive set of features and tools.

I used to use PSP back in the days when it was owned by Jasc Software!! I use Adobe Photoshop for all my needs now... very steep learning curve but once you get the hang of it, very powerful. Adobe Photoshop Elements is also very good for the novice.

I used a PSP trial when I was looking for an alternative to piracy (I think it was version X). I decided it wasn't worth paying for compared to the GIMP, which is now what I use alongside inkscape.

]http//ww…rg/ free but needs a decent power pc, works well from what I've seen and tons of tutorials online...

The GIMP doesn't need a particularly powerful PC! Just takes a bit of getting used to.

I like (the also free) ]Paint.net - reminds me of Paint Shop Pro from 15 years ago! But supports all the modern file formats, etc.

voted cold

Wouldnt work on my Vista laptop either .

:xOnly available for Windows. So big cold vote from me.

Great price for a Corel product, have used PSP 8 for ages so a free upgrade is a welcome addition! It works fine on Windows XP and the PSIService.exe file which is installed just makes sure it is not a pirated copy - this only uses up 3 MB of memory. The only gripe is when closing the program, it asks you if you want to purchase a newer version, but I don't mind considering this is free!

With grateful thanks to overclockers forum...
