Still far too expensive.

£12 for the first two years, once you add VAT. Then £12 a year after that.

You could go to ovh.co.uk instead. The first year is £1.15 (you don't have to buy two years at once), then £7.18 a year after that, including VAT.
Will not appeal to everyone.
I've been with them for many years when they were 1&1 and have used a range of their services without issue.
£2 cheaper than March's similar deal.

Me too. The only problem is the marketing calls. No matter what I say to stop these calls, they still come about four times a year. They apologise and promise to update the system

Same issue here and when I left them even though fully paid had a debt collection agency calling, ionos admitted they were at fault but not a very good.

Did some research when it happened and it appears to be more regular than you would like.
Godaddy.com could ideal for 1 year. £1.19 for year 1.
thenames.co.uk/
£9.10 every two years (not including the VAT) for the .co.uk
Offshore for the .coms (No VAT)
1. Simple to switch off the autorenew
2. No marketing calls

You're paying for their marketing with outfits like 1and1.
They rebranded to Ionos because their name was absolute dirt throughout the industry.
