Edit found another link for 2 free plants so hopefully this should work too. No need for a voucher code I think with this one as they are already £1.99

Link has been edited.

Just incase

suttons.co.uk/Bas…htm

Just add offer code CUC114

And should take the £4.99 off you just pay the £1.99 postage.

They say these are the trendy veg/fruit to grow these last few years, while others have said they are a Mexican weed/

Looking at a couple of YouTube videos they look very easy to grow and come back year after year (chop back and store dry and replant out)

Bought some of the seeds for these on ebay a few weeks ago. Got some shoots coming through at the moment. Dying to know what they taste like. Never had them before. They were 99o with 50p postage for 25 seeds, but looks like these are already established plants so seems a fair price.

These don't grow well from experience. Maybe I dont have greenfingers

thanks. worth a try as my kids love cucumber. hot.

Just ordered some, rather intrigued by these. You can use PayPal, so that's handy

Mine are growing really strong with loads of leaves. I got the seeds from Suttons in february and they took ages to propogate but they are now growing really strong.

Are these seeds or actual plants?

Thanks will give it a try

Cheers ordered

Thanks, I'm intrigued, they look really intestering, will give them a try

Also has any one grown these before? Would they grow in pots as im limited by space?

Just some tips: They are climbing vines, like cucumbers. Also they are perennials, so when you are done for the year, cut them back to stalks and keep them somewhere warm over winter, and they'll come again (fruiting quicker) next year.

Most things will grow in pots its just a case of feeding them and watering them more.
I've not personally grown them, but I've heard of people growing them in flower buckets (the ones from the supermarkets) 1 to 2 per bucket.

Damn I just sowed mind last weekend, but for £2 I think I can fit in another 2 plants.

Yes I realise this but some things do better than others in pots

Cucumbers and melons are both leafy plants and the fruit have high water content - indicators that the plant needs a lot of water. I would expect these also to require frequent watering if grown in pots/growbags.

Must have ordered the last 2.

Interersting recent comments about OOS, as I've just placed an order with no indication of stock issues!

There again - a BIG note saying currently unavailable is showing on the page.
DOH.

Luckily I ordered it an hour ago!

Just got a confirmation email of order, looking forward to trying somethin different. Will plant it in a container like all my other plants this year - trying it out before building a raised bed for a section of my garden next year.

where do I enter the code??

OOS now...oO

Do you know what sweet potato is? Its "breeded" (gmo) of carrot and potato. So in the same way here..
And dont you really know what is Monsanto and what they up to?
Please...stop watch tv, and see whats happening around you...

I don't think these are 'breeded' as such. As they as known as The Mexican Gherkin. I think they call the cucamelon as they taste slighty of both and it's a better name than Mexican Gherkin

Damn Oos

It's not GM. It's native to Mexico and Central America. Real name is Melothria Scabra.
