FREE Dark Knight Rises Trilogy (Blu-Ray) with any Toshiba Blu-Ray player (BDX1300KB model is only £60)

Toshiba are currently (until 31st December) offering the free Dark Knight Rises Blu-Ray box set to anybody who registers their new Toshiba Blu-Ray player within 7 days of purchase (14 for online purchases).

I was planning on getting this box set anyway which generally seems to cost £25-30. If you don't want it yourself then the whole package could make a good Christmas present or if you want a Blu-Ray player but NOT the Batman Blu-Rays you could always claim them anyway and give them to someone else for Christmas or stick them on eBay etc.

This is the link to the FREE Dark Knight Rises Trilogy

These are the Blu-Ray players which Toshiba make:
home-entertainment.toshiba.co.uk/DVD…rs/

The one at the top of the list (the BDX1300KB) is only £65 on Amazon and ASDA or only £60 on the Hughes Electrical website (or in stores in the East of England). Here are the links...

Amazon:
amazon.co.uk/Tos…8-1

ASDA:
direct.asda.com/Tos…tml

Hughes Electrical (out of stock at time of writing 7th Nov):
hughesdirect.co.uk/vis…uct

The reviews look good with Amazon having 10 reviews with 9 of them giving it 5 stars and the other giving it 4 stars.

Yes, and they supposedly sharpen the picture quality up a bit too. It won't be like watching a Blu-Ray but it is apparently better than a DVD in a regular DVD player.

Thanks OP

Be CAREFUL ... I just paid for that Toshiba blu ray player via Amazon to be told by the website that it is only valid for purchases made from TOMMOROW the 9th November up until December 31st ... Simple mistake when your excited by a good offer!

Luckily I managed to cancel my order easily via Amazon. I shall be participating in this tommorow.

Heat added!

The player itself is meant to be a bit naff. Very slow to load. No wi fi and there are many other options out there for the same price which seem betger players. But this is still a hot deal with the batman trilogy.

This is a very good deal. Reminds me of the Panasonic Star Wars/3D blu ray promotion from last year. Now THAT was good!!!

has anyone found a good price on the 3D models?

£59.50 on Amazon now btw!

Would that even work?

Despite what every one says about blue ray players the ps3 has and was rated the best player...so if you have a ps3 don't waste your money buying a blue ray player...

(To plagiarize another HUKD member) "You have my permission to buy"

This promotion doesn't start until tomorrow!! I'm sure some of you will know that by now, but for the people who don't, there you go!

PS3's don't output DTS HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD sound like a decent stand alone blu-ray player should. If you have a decent sound setup that can accept these formats at home you will appreciate the quality increase.

i have read in many mags and online that a seperate player is far superior. i use my PS3 but i'm concerned about wearing my laser out as my blu collection is vastly expanding. i'm not in for a cheap player but may get a wifi ready/ethernet ported decent blu ray player. would i see a great benefit from a 100-200 player?

The BDX1300KB is £60 in Comet, it's also in the liquidation sale so another 10% off = £54.

It outputs a digital signal, the amplifier does the important part. Do you think the one's and zero's would sound better coming out from a £500 stand alone?

Uh...yes it does. I have my slim PS3 connected to my amp via HDMI and it is definitely outputting either Dolby TrueHD or DTS Master tracks.

I do know the Fat Boy PS3s had to send the signal as linear PCM but tbh I can't really tell the difference.

Its now only £59.50 @ Amazon, great deal. Will buy tommorow

Why would CEX's Dark Knight selling price be relevant to this thread? I think he meant the trilogy, FELLA.

Why act clever and assume? ... Im going by what was written in the post. May be he already owns a copy of Dark Knight so doesn't need a duplicate so wants to knock down the total expense of this deal.

Any reason I cant buy this from Tesco, using clubcard and 10 off 50 voucher code?

Yeah, it's fine to buy from Tesco. The deal is nothing to do with the retailer, it's Toshiba so you just have to send your receipt off to Toshiba as proof of purchase (starting tomorrow).
