I know this deal has been posted before, but for £60. Bennetts have just published on their Christmas brochure (link above, see page 6)
Toshiba's BDX225 BD player, which includes BBC iPlayer, for a rather wallet-friendly £49.99.

Considering this includes the free box-set, which would set you back £25-£30, this is an absolute bargain!

What the heck, buy it, claim the boxset and sell the player for £40 on eBay!

No surprise there, considering the 3rd film isn't out on BD yet!

This is the link to the website - bennettsonline.co.uk/pro…0kb
I put up a link to the brochure because it mentions the free box set (otherwise people get funny because the website says nothing!).
It's Toshiba who are offering the free films, and only via select retailers (I phoned them and asked!), which is why it's via redemption. They said the boxsets are sent the very day they are released.
In any case, thought I'd share what I find to be a good deal (I'm picking one up tomorrow, even though I have a PS3!). Please play nice and don't troll
And no, it's not 3D. But neither are a lot of people's tellys!

Excellent deal

This Promotion is:
• Only open to residents of the United Kingdom excluding Northern Ireland.

So the Shetland Islands is ok but NI isn't? FFS

I've been looking up reviews as my brother's looking for a Blu Ray:

avforums.com/for…tml

Can't see any reviews on Amazon UK but here's some on Amazon.com: amazon.com/Tos…s=1

The internet functionality is apparently very slow.

Appears to be quite a lag with the remote control, and some don't like the upscaling.

teh functionality on any br player is slwo imo

Im temped, but given the number of poor reviews on Amazon.com, maybe its more trouble than its worth?

yeah it does, but errors when you fill it all out

i got further into the toshiba online claim form.
whatever retailer i choose, i only get this product list:
bdx: 1300 3300 4300
4350 5300 1200

so i don't see how this model actually qualifies for the boxset?

Looks like it does not

I'll get in touch with Bennetts then, as their publicity clearly states it does!

If this isn't a 2012 model and isn't part of the toshiba promotion surely it should be expired?

Bennetts confirmed over the phone that this should be in the deal, according to email comms from Toshiba. I asked to email this, will update once received.

This is an active promotion that you claim from Toshiba. The item is part of the promoted items however Toshiba have admitted it was not added to the list. This was changed this morning and the BDX2250 has been added to the promoted products.

The BDX2250 has now been added to the drop down list

Ordered one, did not realise that Bennetts is Hughes Direct and there is 2.5% cashback through Top Cash back with Hughes. I am not sure Hughes Direct are participating in this offer

It goes to the next screen for me on Firefox, I just tried it with Internet Explorer and it refreshes the screen where you put the date in
