good find, the extortionate parking price rise since the olympics has put me off shopping there

I wouldn't shop in Stratford even if I was paid to, Shepherds Bush has pretty much the exact same shops but is far better, Stratford is full of chavs and gangs of youths loitering, I haven't noticed this in any of my visits to Shepherds Bush. Although I hate shopping and only really go for the Lego store, so I couldn't really give an in depth analyst of which stores are better, only an analyst on the experience outside the shops.

What a stupid comment. I've been to Westfield Stratford City a few times and it's been fine on every occasion I've gone; just like any other shopping centre I've been to.

i can't make it work.

I agree there are a lot of chavs and gangs etc, the people there are generally more rough, but free parking is free parking at a fairly decent shopping centre. If you live on the other side of London, I would go to the other Westfield.

This place is next to a rough part of London and rough people do hang around there, however you'll be fine if you apply some common sense

Extortionate? £5 for a day's parking in East London is a bargain. Go out side and park in the Pay & Display bays for £3.50 an hour then.

As a Tower Hamlets resident if there was any nearby resident parking spaces it would be free. Instead I have to pay £2.5 for less than 2 hours at my local shopping centre, or £5 if I go a minute longer than 2 hours.

There is ample residential parking in the area, you just need to turn off before you get to the car park.

If you come from the direction of the blackwall tunnel, turn left towards the car park, and take the first right - residential parking just 10 minutes walk away.
