The problem i have with this company is the fact they sell food that is best before etc past sell by or whatever but the prices are often a lot more than buying fresh from the shops...... and then you have to spend a certain amount and then it's about a week for delivery......... not worth it.

Not one thing I ordered is beyond best before date and I compared prices before I ordered. Think you need to try a bit harder when filling your basket!

Your link is to approvedfood.com ... it should be approvedfood.co.uk

Thanks. It's not letting me save the correct URL. Can a MOD please help?!

Thanks, I've placed my first ever order.

Everything I ordered was in date.

I know best before dates are a recommendation but I often find things like crisps etc go stale or chocolates taste funny after their BBE.

I used to buy stuff from Dan when he just had a warehouse outside of Sheffield. Really nice bloke and glad this has all worked out for him. Didn't want or need anything but still managed to spend £22 X)

Not looked on their site for a while..
Blimey their prices have shot up. Just about everything i looked at is the same price or cheaper at Home Bargains , B&M or Farmfoods ( and theirs are in date ).

It's a good deal but they need to have a guest checkout option.

Shocked to see just how out of date some products are, 2015. Most are not even that cheap. Really just not worth the risk of ruining a meal.

This company is a joke, Large p+p costs with very cheap rubbish food with hardly any nutritional value at all. Also after making a couple of orders suddenly started getting lots of scam calls from Sheffield where they are based from our foreigner friends who are probably working there. I deleted my account so be warned.

Exactly, it's a rip off.

You can extend the delivery time in the Deal Post (if you wish) - just had an email saying the code has been extended till midnight tonight. (Actually, I left a little comment at the bottom instead).

Approved Food are still pretty good - I only order when there's free delivery. Had one or two things that have been off (such as Soreen Malt Loaf minis) but they always refund promptly if there's problems. Most stuff is still decent.

Especially useful for stocking up on heavy things (like dishwasher tablets/laundry liquid, powder) etc. Their case deals are a great bargain as well.

I must have missed out on the glory days of Approved Food when it was really dirt cheap! I often see people on MSE mentioning that the prices have skyrocketed.
