directory costs 3.75 but that was the older offer...the new one just gives you free delivery and all you need is an account with next you don't need to order the directory

worst offer ever, can't believe you have to open a credit account to place an order.

well you can open a cash account too if you'd like too

how do you do that? I thought that is what I was doing and ended up with a credit account. that'll teach me not to read the T&Cs.

Oh well, spoke too soon!

I only know the procedure if you open an account over the phone all you will have to do is inform the advisor that you would like a cash account as you don't want to be credit searched..

I only came into this thread to warn people not to accidentally end up with a Next credit account lol...

lool well there are many advantages to having a next directory credit account for example if there is no free delivery offer on going which is the case throughout the year, customers can alterntevely send their items to their nearest store free no matter hw big the order is and if the store is able to take it!

+1... Using the website will get you credit searched and possible credit account opened. Be warned.

Yes it says this in tiny print in the t+c but most people don't read them. I avoid next for this reason (after I cancelled my last account!)

Sneaky and cold.

No - its not cold for the people who are already Next Directory customers. It means we can just go on and order as usual and get it delivered free. Why don't the whingers go catch a bus into town and buy stuff from Next to save money but spend it on bus fares anyway (or petrol)! lol what are you's like

Are you a current customer ?

Are you a current customer ?

Interesting point.

I thought I might have been and when I went to register it said I'd already registered with my email address.

So I clicked on the "Forgotten Password" link, but it tells me I have not set up a password, and to sign in with my customer number and date of birth.

I have no idea what my customer number is and there doesn't seem to be a way of retrieving it.

Dont' worry about the customer number, you will be getting a llot of it in the future lol! when you place an order it will come in your statement or alongside the items you order, you can place orders online and over the phone witouth a customer number alternatively if you really want it just give a call to customer services who will send you a letter containing the customer number because we don't give it over the phone for security purposed
