What a bunch of gits.

Had an item bookmarked but wasn't worth ordering due to delivery charges and not available in store.

Anyway, just checked and lo and behold, its price has gone up by £3 - just in time for the free delivery weekend.

They'd need to offer me a free page 3 girl to buy from them ! everything they sell is more expensive than everywhere else even online.

Yeah mine too!

After sales service is terrible if you want to return something that has gone faulty.

Nice. I think I'll stock up on resistors and capacitors. Each in a separate order, of course...

agreed , t&c ' s state faulty / unwanted mail order items can be returned to a store.,my local
refused to refund and the manager was an irritable little tw*t.

They are like pc world they overcharge on everything and rely on ignorant customers.
Please don't reward them with your business.

BigTrak is £29.99 with Free Delivery. Good price.

Before our work offices moved, there was a Maplin opposite us and I used to pick up the catalogue for a huge laugh at the prices. On rare occasions, the store actually had a decent offer (I got a couple of 6-way Belkin surge protectors for 4.99 each - never seen that price bettered yet), but 99.99% of their so called "sales" were just at the maximum RRP as far as I could see. What a joke of a store it is - reminds me of the old Tandy/Radio Shack stores (relying on you needing "emergency" bits and bobs rather than having to wait for an Internet delivery).

At least Tandy had knowledgeable staff.
