Thanks very much

I prepared using that site exclusively and almost managed 100%. The questions are very close and often identical, however the functionality itself isn't great, questions are frequently repeated and are occasionally incorrect. I will say that the repeating is quite effective in learning by rote, you don't forget once you've seen a question a few times. They also tend to cluster within sections, so absolutely go through all of them, excepting the marathon which I didn't find necessary.

If you google around you will get a few. However I bought a Hazard P test from Pound Land and it was really helpful as it have many tests.

IMO if you do the video tests online, you might get a few false readings if you have slow internet. So the clicks maynot register properly.

I was lucky that my disc worked great!

Hazard P tests are very tricky as you need to now when to click and how often to click. I suggest that people dont skimp on this bit.

You were right I just came back from the test centre failed on the hazard perception it by 1 mark for the second time (HP fail by 1 mark last time also). Is there anyway to contest this mark or are the machines considered to be 100% accurate? I did practice using the 99p store CD (fixed the error) are there any more that you'd recommend or suggestions or tips for the Hazard Perception? Such a pain to pay £31 again

Hi mate, sorry for the late response.

Not sure but dont think you can challenge the test authority machines.

Here is what I am saying from experience to pass the test:
- It is best you use a CD based test than an online best test, as internet speeds may make you adapt click speed and distort results.
- Your aim should be to get your click timing right. Make sure you review your clicks as well to see where you are going wrong
- Dont memorise the clips, but use the examples on the clips as a guidance what to look out for
- Test yourself in gaps, ie after giving a session of HP tests, review your mistakes. Wait a couple of hours, then do it again.
- During the exam you should be relaxed, hudrated and not sleepy.

I was quite anxious about the HP test myself. It actually is tricky for everyone.

Good luck for the next one.

Good luck for your next schedule... Congrats if you cleared it... Happy driving mate!

I did the test twice because I failed the first time by 1 mark in the question section.

I then did 1-13 question sets on this website twice and then used the DVD for 2 hours to get some practice done each day for 3 days.

I also did the mock theory question on my phone with the DSA app. Its worth the money and is very good. Some questions and even the images I found on the real test were on the app.

Also make sure that you know all the signs. http://www.theorytestadvice.co.uk/highway-code/signs.php

Here is where you can test the road signs. http://www.driving-school-beckenham.co.uk/mocktheory5.html

Good luck.

The AA website had some tests, also it's worth checking your library to see if they have any of the books or DVDs to try at home.
If you think of the imaginary car you're driving as a potential killing machine (which a real car is), Hazard Perception is basically looking for any idiot about to do something stupid which would make you react.
I passed 1st time and I suggest get either a DVD/PC 'game', free app and/or try online tests and try, try, try again whenever you have the chance!
Good luck

Good stuff thanks op
