If you haven’t cycled for a while, or this is the first time you’ve used an e-cycle, you can book training and support through one of our skills and confidence sessions.

These free, one-hour sessions take place in each of the Making cycling e-asier locations, where experts will be on hand to assess your skills and requirements and guide you through e-cycling to give you the confidence to get riding quickly and easily.

Our friendly team will select the best e-cycle for you to test and provide you with a helmet if you wish to wear one (or you are welcome to bring your own).


Making cycling e-asier offers free one-month loans of a wide range of electric bikes and cycles in different sizes to meet your needs, including e-bikes, non-standard e-cycles and e-cargo bikes.

With e-cycles provided by top brands, you’ll also receive accessories such as a battery charger, lights and a lock, along with expert support.

    Great initiative but e bikes are so expensive the govt should subsidise them like they did with cars some years ago
    I wonder that after the scheme expires maybe they give you a voucher towards one at reduced cost?

    Why should my taxes help pay for someone's ebike? The government doesn't have any money of its own!

    I saw a cyclist really struggle today. I could have laughed but we all started somewhere. Someone like that really needs a cycling course. Start with a bike that fits as hers was tiny and she was wobbling everywhere bless her.
