About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
Update 06/08/2020 - Both Kew Gardens and Wakehurst are now charging for guests. Only BLC holders get free entry.
Guest Prices:
Kew Gardens - £10
Wakehurst - £7.25
First deal posted on here... Have been struggling to find anywhere to take my little one to expel some energy as everything is being fully booked and expensive due to people remaining in UK for holidays.
Visited Kew Gardens recently and realised that they offered free entry for BLC holders and you are also allowed a guest. Didn't see this advertised anywhere.
Perfect for some exercise, fresh air or a family picnic.
KEW GARDENS
Discover the world of science behind botanical collections, with over 50,000 living plants to be found across a UNESCO World Heritage site.
From Victorian glasshouses to an Alpine rock garden, there's something to see in every corner.
Address: Kew, Richmond, London, TW9 3AE
Link to Kew Garden tickets Page: kew.org/kew-gardens/visit-kew-gardens/tickets
Due to COVID19, tickets have to be prebooked. At Kew Gardens use the promo code: BLUE2020 when booking tickets.
This will then allow you to book one BLC ticket and one guest ticket for free. Children under four are free and do not require a ticket. Child tickets between the ages or 4 - 15 are only £5.50 each.
The car park at Kew Gardens is at Ferry Lane near Brentford Gate and charges a daily fee of £7 and parking is limited. If visiting by car my advice is park in local roads directly opposite Kew gardens after 12.00 as the parking restrictions are only enforced 10:00 to 12:00 (MON - FRI), so no issues on weekend.
WAKEHURST
Explore wild botanic garden, home to the Millennium Seed Bank and over 500 acres of the world’s plants in the heart of Sussex.
Address: Ardingly, Haywards Heath, Sussex, RH17 6TN
Link to Wakehurst tickets page: kew.org/wakehurst/buy-tickets
With Wakehurst, due to COVID19 you also have to prebook tickets. No code is required however BLC holders select the "HEALTH CARE WORKER" ticket option and the "HEALTH CARE WORKER GUEST" for an additional ticket. You are also required to prebook for any child from the ages of 0 however children 0-16 are free. This includes babies. This is so numbers can be managed.
In regards to parking, parking is free for BLC ticket holders.
Please note that you must show a BLC at entry with the ticket. Therefore, please do not embarrass yourself by prebooking tickets and being denied entry. It is also unfair to actual BLC holders as a limited amount of BLC tickets are allocated daily.
Also, Kew gardens and Wakehurst need donations and have had to make cuts during COVID19, therefore whilst entry is free, donations are welcomed.
In the past only certain specified emergency services seemed to be allowed entry however recently it seems this offer applies to anyone with a Blue Light Card.
The below are eligible for a BLC:
- 4x4 Response
- Ambulance Service
- Blood Bikes
- Border Force
- British Army
- Cave Rescue
- Community First Responders
- Fire Service
- Highways England Traffic Officer
- HM Armed Forces Veterans
- HM Coastguard
- HM Prison Service
- Immigration Enforcement
- Lowland Search and Rescue
- MoD Fire Service
- MoD Police
- Mountain Rescue
- NHS
- Police
- Red Cross
- Reserve Armed Forces
- RNLI
- Royal Air Force
- Royal Marines
- Royal Navy
- Search and Rescue
- Second Line Responders

- UK Visas and Immigration
Enjoy!
