Been here before a few times when it's been free. Really worth while if you in that area. It is obviously quite busy but it wasn't anymore busy than in the summer I think.
Brilliant place - some of the animals are wandering around the park as well! Its a bit un-nerving the first time you go, but its quite nice to see Lemurs & small Ostritch type birds (Rhea??) wandering about. The Lions/Tigers are behind fences though - Tiger feeding time is v.entertaining to watch. If you miss out on this deal, you can (could) use tesco days out vouchers as well. Saying all that, this place is that good that I'd pay real money to visit.
Great day out, cheers!
Been there earlier as they had posted coupons at Blackpool. No match to Blackpool zoo. It's okay to travel to there if its free. Entry fees are quite high as its private venture. Some of the pigs are on diet n look slim beauties Heat from me as its free. Winter not many to visit.
Great zoo. Worth taking a bit of extra cash well worth donating a couple of quid to feed the giraffes. Their parrots are free range there allowed to fly away if they really wanted to but they allways come back as they know their gona get fed
Do you need to print a voucher or something to get access or just turn up?

Do you need to print a voucher or something to get access or just turn up?

You just turn up
I think they ask for a few simplke details at the gate probably for tax reasons but that's it.
I went here last year, we usually go to blackpool zoo, but i thought this was an excellent zoo ! brilliant deal, think they ask for a donation at the entrance
hot deal thanks
Cool, will go when I go back home over Christmas.

Bit of an odd fact, an (endangered) white rhino once escaped from this zoo and was shot dead by local police whilst making its freedom down the dual carriage way!!
A brilliant day guarenteed! Ace place to visit and spend a wonderful day.
love this place and if you were any closer to the animals you would be classed as family

i love chester zoo but its one of those where i want to see each and every animal, have time to spend with the fam as well as make the most out of the day .. which is something thats restricted. southlakes is where you have time for everything
Great day out, well worth a visit
Great zoo - really pushchair friendly - would especially recommend to younger kids, as you can get around the whole place in a day unlike Chester where you end up racing round to try to see everything. We usually go at least once a year.
Off on Sunday - looking forward to the standoff with the emus as usual.
full price admission is usually about £13 so this is an ace deal, i only live down the road too :-) we can just go for a walk feed the animals and then go home again!
its the only thing we have near us in this part of cumbria. anything else involves long car journeys
