Free Entry To Cragside House In Rothbury Northumberland *Half Term Only*

Found 17th Feb 2011
Probably going to be slightly regional as people wont want to travel hundreds of miles, but still thought it would be worth giving people a heads up for something free and fun to do with the kids over half term. We took our kids and the entry fee's were quite alot for a family of four.
There are "Fantasy forest events on offer including fiary house building and forest arts" so you may have to pay a small fee to do these but access to the house and gardens is free, and the fee for the events will be minimal compared to paying full entry.

the fact that Rothbury is a very friendly, picturesque location featuring plenty of walking routes away from the crowds, should not encourage you to visit..... please go to the lakes and leave Northumberland as the quiet, undiscovered county, that can be appreciated for what it is.... God's own county.
I went here a year ago when I got free national trust tickets from HuD, I would recommend it to any one I had a great day, there are LOTS of things to do there and the views of the house and surrounding grounds are amazing!
I love the gardens, better remember coats and wellies though!
Just thought id give this a final bump incase anyone in the region missed it
I went on Wednesday with our 3 kids. Good day and all free, even the parking was free. Cheers again.
Thanks OP!! Went yesterday and had a great day (sun helped), even the drive there was nice with great views.

This should have cost almost £30.00 for two adults so great find.

Came home and signed up for 2 annual memberships, went through quidco for 30% cashback!
Glad people went and enjoyed themselves
