Free entry to watch Weymouth FC vs Braintree Town

This deal will benefit only a few people. My club, Weymouth FC had a really bad weekend, and as a result of that, the chairman has decided that our next home match on Tuesday 23rd Feb will be free entry.

If there are any Weymouth residents on here, why not take a friend (or several) down to the game and enjoy a free night out? Kickoff will be 7:45.

Fingers crossed for 3 points

hope they get a good crowd and 3 points

The crucial thing will be whether we put in a good performance and that crowd come back when they have to pay. 3 points would also be nice!!

Braintree Town ? Seriously never heard of them.

Good idea Mr Chairman.

Should have put in the title that the match is a league match in the Conference South (or Blue Square South). Most people who don't live there probably won't have heard of them.

HOT! but too far for me

Braintree used to play in Eastern Counties League, now called Ridgeons League, only reason I know is that our mighty Lowestoft Town used to play in same league, but the Trawlerboys gained promotion last year and are currently top of the Ryman North - so look out Weymouth we are gunning for ya lmao !! :whistling:

Why am I not surprised you've got nothing sensible to say - get back to studying and just contribute to articles that actually interest you like self abuse or something !! :x

Very hot.......Just a bit to far for me....

Hope you win.... :-D

Hope it's a good match and you build up paying crowds for the future. Good luck!

Technically watching paint dry would cost you more, as this is free and paint is not :whistling:.

Even if you are not a fan, surely if its free and you are in the area it is worth an evening out? Even if you don't enjoy it what have you lost?

Thanks for all the positive comments so far (and the heat)

Good to see someone support the little teams and not those premiership prima donna's.

There's more go to English and Scottish games from Northern Ireland than go and watch their local sides. Its a shame really as we have a lot to offer and the football's not all that bad.

Good luck tonight.

Heat from me.

I agree with you. More people in Weymouth will probably be watching Man U Vs Milan, than actually turning up to watch their local team.

Good luck to you for the rest of the season. Anyone wishing to read up more about this free offer, take a look at the link below to the local paper:

Come on you Terras!

(I'm in Manchester, but grew up in Weymouth. I'd go every week if I could, but midweek games are a no-no).

Great deal, get down there if you can. A good game of football is a competative one it doesn't matter what level it is played, got more entertainment from watching pub league on sunday than the Liverpool V Arsenal game.

Why would someone reply to a freebie they have no interest in, just to slate it? I have no use for tampons, I tend not to write any comment in deals for them. You must have a lot of time to fill, 'addyliver'.

Well done Mr Chairman, bold and positive.

Lets hope they get another good hiding and Weston and Lewes both win!!!!

With a name like Maggot, you wouldn't happen to be a Dorchester fan would you? :-D

If so did you enjoy your trips to the Wessex?

Can we play you every week?

Can i just add my weight to the Weymouth push for survival. Have very fond memories of the team. Weymouth to survive and Bournemouth for promotion would be great. So best wishes from an AFC Bournemouth exile here in Norfolk and up the "Terras"!

Thanks mate. Have to say I expected Bournemouth to be in the non league this season after your points deduction. Great to see the team bounce back and push for the league above!! Shame you couldn't sign Charlie Austin. I saw him at Swindon, he would have scored a few for you.

Good luck with your promotion push!

Have some rep too

i think we would like to have signed Matt Tubbs at Salisbury but the embargo has hit us hard....i saw Charlie at Poole Town and it was obvious he had a great future....Keep your head and hopes up. It might only take one win to turn your season around.....

Nice spot, will be coming to support them this day

At least that's one more. Shame I can't go, lol

Go on the Iron!! (B'tree!)

The article says it's free for all Weymouth residents, but I assume you away fans get in for free too? Not sure on that.....

Should be a good game

C'mon you Terras!!!

If it's anything like last week they'll be goals galore, although mainly from the opposition

(Sheff Wed fan living in Basingstoke!)

did they win??

Looks like the old injury time sucker punch:

Worcester 2-3 (HT 1-1) Braintree Town

Farrell (20)
Emery (50)

Mingle (13)
Calver (73)
Marks (90)

That is one good thing about football at the Wessex you always get goals

I can't remember the last home 0-0, LOL

Great the club giving something to the fans.

Best of luck to them

Just to let everyone know, Weymouth played a LOT better on Saturday, but still lost 2-0. Both goals came in the 67th minute, so we were a bit unlucky there. With the home advantage (and a big crowd hopefully) I would hope that a performance like that might see us take a point or 3!

If you are in the area, why not come along? It won't cost you anything! There is a nice bar there with a good atmosphere. So rather than going to the pub, get yourselves down to the Wessex!

Just thought I would let everyone know about a related deal.

After the FREE match. A pint of bitter/lager will be just £1.50 in the Wessex lounge!!!!!!

A free night out, and a round of drinks for your mates, all under a tenner!!!!!
