I don't like to be a 'deal pooper' so neither hot or cold from me. BUT . . Experian credit checker is free to everybody, indefinitely. Here: experian.co.uk/
Free credit checks on yourself or others? Sounds good for trashing credit scores. Kool. Barclays previously only offered its customers the facility to monitor their own credit scores, but that was two years ago so that service may have been expanded for 2018 home.barclaycard/med…ian
note experian is just a score. you can also use noddle.co.uk which gives you a free full credit report (think this is callcredit)

Yeah, I think that's the one. I still used it to see my full credit report via Experian a few days ago completely free.

Barclay's offset mortgage is a good product. You can have lots of accounts, including savings accounts for children, and offset them all against your mortgage.

You might want to check that, Barclays are never at the top of the mortgage rate charts and there are plenty of better banks out there just for product ranges and value and that’s not even touching on their amazing award winning customer service, oh wait that’s never going to happen is it

you you might also want to look into having a savings account linked to your mortgage, your accounts are offset so don’t have interest so technically they aren’t savings.

Viewing your own credit report can't damage your credit score!? Can it??

No. They only do a soft search so it doesn't leave any kind of record. The Money Saving Expert one (and probably all others as well) give you a report monthly. I think the ones you pay for, you can request reports more frequently but the free ones send a new report monthly.
