Experian is a fraud, in lots of cases they are simply inaccurate and blame companies not themselves and they take several months to put right, when they have the facility to correct within 24 hours.
Doesn't everyone realise that they are giving this out for free, as you are supplying them with up to date details that they want and need to sell onto companies that may need to check your history. (Banks, stores, mobile phone, etc.)

Cooooooooool!. :-)
lol they **** themselves as soon as they knew everyone was signing up to clear score
Nice one. A chance to find out if a finance company chasing me for a debt that was paid off in full had been giving me bad credit for months. My expired, paid off account, was sold (in error apparently) to a debt recovery company -who contacted me six months later to demand payment. They finally acknowledged that the debt was clear and I owed nothing but refused to prove to me that my credit score hasn't been affected.
thanks for posting i wasn't aware of this cheers
mine couldn't verify, Equifax could. there asked a question about mail service i never had

This is great, thanks for the heads up!
Moneysavingexpert is a great website in general, full of great advice and other good stuff.

Thank you for the post, checked my score and it's Excellent!!!!
All morning mine has been stating that loading is taking longer than usual, is anyone else's doing that?
super thanks for the heads up
I cant get into it because of 'security' provided all correct details included last 27 years of address history and it cant verify me!

Anyone else had this problem?
Also worth noting that unlike in the past where you had to go through the process of ringing Experian to cancel any membership, you can simply do it from the 'Account -> Membership' part of the site and switch back to the free service.

Gone from being a bit of a pain, to a 20 second process.
Can't verify, so went to experian.co.uk/ and registered there and managed to pull the report with the exact same details?! Experian will provide the report FOC as a 1 time deal, but it involves subscribing to a 1 month trial which changes to a £14.99 a month membership. Easily cancelled however using the account menu once logged in.
Is this a temporary thing?

This isn't a one-off, you will receive your credit report via MSE each month, free of charge.

Looks pretty good, provides tips to improve your rating and your credit card acceptance likelihood too.
Credit score = 999
Hit rate = 99%
Affordability score = very weak oO
Think i need to have a closer look at it.

Experian are not doing it for free. MoneySavingExpert have paid them for access.

They also include details in Credit Club about your eligibility for loans and credit cards. If you choose to apply for one of the financial products they’ve given you an eligibility score for and get accepted, they get paid by the provider.
Bit cautious of entering mobile number, any temp mobile services you can sign up for?

they asked for my full bank account number for verification?? ermm ..no thanks , great for people it work though . hot!!
Pretty cool sharing. thanks
If you have a Barclaycard and have an on-line account then they offer a free Experian credit report. Since they have your details you just confirm you want it and you don't need to enter any details. They send you an email when it is ready and you access the Experian report through your on-line account. They say they can withdraw the free service at any time.
I signed up to the club this morning on Martin Lewis email, but is this free, or do we pay £14.99 after one off?
Anyone advise, as I don't fancy paying £14.99 month how's does it all work

where does it say it's £14.99
I signed up to the club after seeing this post, thanks. It sailed through and did not get any trouble with verification by Experian. Though, got shocked to see 6 soft searches logged by MSE in matter of seconds as part of sign-up.

Mine was similar late last year (900s excellent, very weak affordability), then I moved house with no real changes to my income and outgoings and suddenly I'm in the 600s with a poor score yet my affordability increased bizarre. I prefer the clearscore and noddle free reports to this and the best one I think is the checkmyfile.com one, it's not free but does all the credit agencies at once and compares them.
Looks good, but looks to me as though credit details are going to be shared with MSE and available for them to process. I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with that.
Signed up, seems to the free comprehensive credit report & completely free!

What can they do with it?
Probably nor much. They will probably offer you some services.

Potential for them to be hacked leading to your personal credit data being exposed, identity fraud etc.

What's wrong with just using noddle.co.uk ??
I've used it for over a year now and it gets updated on the 1st of each month I think

explain please? (i know nothing about credit scores)
Tried this earlier today, you do receive the full report

Please remember, although a debt/loan isn't stamped on the Experian file, there are two other major companies your file can be located on
Equifax
Call Credit

Before applying for a loan/CC/Mortgage check all 3 first, because every unsuccessful attempt adds a black mark

Couldn't verify me. Lets see what it's like when/if it works.

The days of them being able to charge consumers £20 a month (W.T.F) has ended. They are a service provider that needs to be paid in other ways (referrals) because nobody in their right mind would use them on a on-going basis.
