Asda are definitely the cheapest physical shop, they don’t charge for the ultra thin on high prescriptions
If their glasses are as ''trendy'' as their clothes range, I won't be going

Hi, may I ask if asda would fit the lens you choice to your own frame? I have some old frame very comfortable I like to wear them however I find it is very hard to find high street optic shops to fit for me even I pay with their lenses. Thanks

I don’t normally recommend people but spex4less.com were great with my last pair of glasses and their customer service was excellent. They have a few good discounts from time to time aswell.

Yes they will reglaze your frame, every optician will ask you to sign a waiver to say if the frames are damaged in the glazing process, then its not their problem.

Asda Opticians are definitely the cheapest option 'offline' They might not have the super latest styles but nobody's beating them on price.

You can measure PD using this ruler eyebuydirect.com/dow…pdf yourself by looking into mirror or ask a help from friend. Its easy and simple.
I usually travel Asia and believe me the
Frames and lenses which are sold here are almost 3 times straight higher in price for the same genuine brands and quality of lenses. So guess how much is the business here. All this stuff is imported from there.

It's easy to get someone else to do it for you with a ruler, better than trying to measure it yourself in the mirror. When I've ordered glasses online I've never had a problem with the PD measurement, it's always been accurate in the glasses. This is from the goggles4u website. Measuring PD
Just make sure you look straight into the distance, not at the person measuring, then it should be accurate and easy to do.

You can't get higher than 1.74, if you mean prescription just call your nearest one, I found them quite helpful except the one in Roehampton, there was a lady there that was a real pain, so I called two other stores who were very helpful.
