The link says a free "NHS Funded eye test". Aren't they just for people under 18, in full time education or on benefits?
Due for an eye test thank you!!

wasn't impressed with my local Tesco's eye test tbh.
For years, specsavers told me to keep wearing glasses, get contact lenses, come in once a year for appointments, until I turn 18 when (if my eyesight didn't make large jumps) I could get laser eye surgery. They persisted against getting laser eye surgery once I turned 18 (and for a few years after) as my eyes were not in a good enough condition, and to just continue on contact lenses and glasses.

Then a new older optometrist in Specsavers did my eye test one year, and was amazed at why I hadn't considered laser eye surgery yet after looking at my history and current status. I told him I was advised against it by Specsavers staff and he said nonsense. Had 2 more third party opinions from an optometrist and ophthalmologist and they both agreed it could have been done before.

Haven't trusted them since, and am so glad i've undertaken laser eye surgery. Be wary of false positives!

Sorry rant over >_<

Always free eye tests at specsavers .... they are to eye tests what DFS are to sales!
Sorry OP .. I can't quite 'see' your Deal?, do I need Specsavers?, Vision Express?, or ..... :-(

Lol. :-)

I'm not surprised. I wouldn't trust a supermarket to properly test my eyes either!
The downside about Specsavers, is the "glass" they use in their glasses is cheap sh1t or it's ground by FWs.
Or maybe it's a industry standard.

they use cheap **** for contacts, I compared them before leaving their scheme, so I'm not surprised about their glasses

They have a real optician working there obviously!!!

Exactly
Nothing new. I frequently find free eye test vouncher in local parish magazines and also on back of the car parking tickets, have never paid for tests and don't expect to because they keep finding ways to flog free test vouchers here and there.

Yes its a marketing tactic to get you through the door - a 'loss leader' if you like. They make their money from glasses sales, contact lenses etc.

Free eye test, yes. But they try and sell you unnecessary products
So is this free for someone who usually pays, the NHS funded eye test part has confused me?
Cheers
It's free everywhere! Hey I'm going to post a freebie too, free air!

No it's not. Walk into a Specsavers or Vision Express without a voucher and you'll have to pay, unless you get it on the NHS.

What else would you do unless you found a voucher like this?

You don't need a voucher! Most people know it's free in Tescos anyway, they advertise everywhere!

You claimed it was free 'Everywhere'. Tesco is not everywhere, it's one store.

I went to Tesco's optician and they over-prescribed telling me I needed new glasses.. I started getting headaches, went back to previous specs and had no more problems.

Hi there,

how or where do I find the code please?
Is this valid in all specsavers or is it store specific?
I can't seem to find the free eye test deal on their offers page, has it been removed?
