Woah.. lolol..cheers buddy.. ;P

Just so for those who has 3.6 know, you can just update the version from help menu so you don't have to go through all the installation process and keep all the addons.

I updated few days ago and I couldnt save my tabs on exit anymore. When I restart the browser I couldnt load my saved tabs anymore....saw on there site apparently its a bug which has not been fixed yet.

"Get it while it's hot" - or wait for the bugs to be resolved?

This isn't really a deal though is it - freebie maybe :o)

Hence it's in the 'Freebies' section, rather than 'Deals'.

I use Google Chrome but the only problem with the 10 update is the stupid shockwave flash that keeps crashing.

Though, Google Chrome is sooooo much better than firefox. More quicker, easier and better extensions! (_;)

Hopefully flash will start being phased out a bit with HTML5

Unlikely, flash is still better than silverlight (microsoft's 'flash with wings'... supposidly)

Ad block plus can't work properly with Chrome because inherit problem with Chrome. Major fail in my opinion as it cannot block in video adverts.

Can i ask what is firefox???... i use google to searcg the net.

I dont even know what google chrome is.!!

Can anyone please explain in basic terms what these applications are and why one may be better than another???

really nice. the default interface looks more like google chrome.

Problems picking up mail from Talk Talk / Tiscali seems not compatible!

We should also mention IE9 has been released, I've founded it quicker than chrome and firefox,
The only annoying thing I would say about it is that sometimes I'm not sure If I need to click the compatibility button, or if the website is just poorly coded and so looks strange! Only takes a split second to update though, so harly much of a problem. Anyway for completeness beautyoftheweb.com/

Basically its how you search the web and how its presented to you. I guess you are using Internet Explorer ( Ver 9 has just been released and its the fastset yet but NOT compatible with Windows XP. The browser is what you see on your screen with the various buttons such as home history favourites etc. You can use any browser as you wish and each have their own merits preferences etc,

thanks

"Get it whilst it's hot!" really OP? really?

Opera ftw

Thank you.Just downloaded. Opera is very impressive and easy to use and seems very fast.

Not compatible with my addons, yet

But it does look good, especially the tab management system.

I hate it!!!

Oh, it hid my menu bar, not so bad now I've got that back Seems most of my add ons are not compatible either - how odd to release it with such a high non-compatibility level. Anyway, time to try and get used to it

Well, Mozilla doesn't do the add ons so the authors tend to release their stuff when the final version of FF is out.

Add this line to about:config extensions.checkCompatibility false

If anyone is experiencing sort of out of focus text , go to options/advanced and untick hardware acceleration

QUick summary from my experiences

Chrome is nice.... but the UI/Themes leave a lot to be desired, calling it minimalistic is an overstatement

Firefox 3.6 = Amazing UI, especially when customized, albeit a resource hog

Firefox 4.0 = Worse UI than 3.6 & not as customizable but friendlier on the resources...

You cant win at all :/, would be nice if FF4 kept 3.6s UI, would easily be the best browser then

Had to re-install 3.6 as Linkification addon is not compatible with 4.0. Sad times.
Here is the link to download 3.6rc2 if anyone else needs it: [url=Had to re-install 3.6 as Linkification addon is not compatible with 4.0. Sad times. Here is the link to download 3.6rc2 if anyone else needs it: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub…GB/

No need to uninstal 4.0.. this just replaces the old version.

I use the god like mouse theme, never had a browser look so good, even when I turn off windows graphical features for performance, looks just as good. Chrome seems to be a winner for me, can't knock firefox though for freeing up your Internet experience. Heat added.

Call me odd, but I personally use Chrome as my main, firefox as my backup and IE when worst comes to the worst (usually a microsoft site which only allows IE to access / download their junk).
