In that case, we have to add the heat to the OP as well, since it has been identified by OP. However I don't think currently it happens in that way.

Great idea, until the person you try and save or their family sue you if they think you made it worse.

Did a first aid course during my apprenticeship years ago, the general rule was: Well done, you have all passed, now never ever use it on site or off it.
You couldn't make it up......

Some of you are so lame. Just say thanks or not and move on

Didn't see the last post so heat from me x

I recently did a refresher first aid course at work and the first thing we were taught to do (even if casualty is unconscious) is to introduce yourself 'Hi I'm John Smith and I'm a first aider, can I help you?' because apparently someone got sued for giving CPR to someone having a heart attack who didn't want to be resuscitated. Madness.

Says the person who decided to call someone and not say 'thanks or not'

Heat from me, you could save a life.

Why do ppl always say posted already who cares there's always someone out there who might not be in this all day and hasn't seen it like me thanks for posting AGAIN

Just to let everyone know that I did a St.Johns first aid course on Tue past and they now have insurance for anyone who has passed the course to protect you if someone does decide to sue.It is complete madness these days with too many claims etc! Never be afraid to save someone's life....think how you would feel if you just walked away like a coward and they died without help!

Why do my replies keep getting submitted for moderation?

A crappy world we live in. All first aid kits will come with a costume like this soon so that you cant be identified :P

St Johns, or as the Red Cross call them "The Penguins of Doom"

I think it's good to post these apps often, whether it's hukd etiquette or not - having a good first aid app handy could save a life. I'm kinda ashamed to say I didn't have one on my phone before, so this was a good reminder! In the end I downloaded the Red Cross ones, which are also free:
play.google.com/sto…rca
play.google.com/sto…cfa <- baby and child first aid
...but the St John's one is smaller and simpler, so it might be the better option if you don't have much space on your phone. Otherwise, there's no harm in checking out both!
Thanks for posting this deal:)
