Looks like you may have to cancel the Setanta during month 2 to avoid being charged £9.99 in month 3.

Found that now. For soem reason it doesn't appear under "TalkTalk" deals even though it was listed under that retailer. Odd, don't know if there is a problem there Mods??:?

Isn't there a minimum contract period of 12 months with this?

dont you get the box for free because you have to pay for the third month of setanta sports?

Thought I'd just say that the box might take a couple of weeks to arrive, but it does work OK. Only let down is that the Electronic Program Guide isn't as good as most other boxes, for instance you can't see what is on multiple channels 'at a glance', just a list of channels, or a mildly confusing now and next on one channel at a time. I've got mine now after ordering it about 2 weeks ago, and I've got to write to Setanta to extend the free offer accordingly.

anyone know if you can sign up to this with onetel?

hi wtch out for the 18 month contract

i got this offer and the box they sent was not working and they did not send my card when i told them to stop it they said it will be 18 month contract

I think they advertise as no contract now anyway?! Anyone confirm?

So green light to get this I reckon - cancel in month 2 and no charge

hi me again

well yes and no

setanta say there is still a 18month ct if you go with talk talk offer but if you go with them there is not

i still have not got rid of this and by the time i got to talk to some one at setanta the dept i had to talk to was closed they are only open till 5.30

so i would say again make 100% off both setanta and talk talk that there is no 12month crt

then yes a bargain or get this with virgin or sky as you get more for the money

Hi, can u tell me where it says 12 month contract? Everything Ive read says no annual contract. just want to know before I try & activate.

i got my box last week. The box is pretty rubbish even though it was free. Overall not worth the hassle of cancelling contract and signing up for a cheap freeview box.

i watch my football for free on the internet so theres no point for me

i think if you go thru quidco there is £32 cash back on this ::)

Do you have to pay any set up fees or is it all free?

According to the Setanta website the is no 12 month contract

Do you have to have their broadband? I currently have my telephone provided by them, is that enough?

You don't have to have their broadband, there is no tie in. Its a great offer, you don't even pay the initial connection fee for setanta which is £10.

Everyone who has talk talk needs to sign up for this.

Can anyone that has got this please let the rest of us know how their cancellations went?
Also, is this available to those of us still in a 12 month contract with TalkTalk? I signed up for Talk2 in August this year. What am I exactly signing up for - a free freeview box and Setanta Sports for 2 months - and that's it?? Are Setanta pressing for further payments? Did they take payment early before you had a chance to cancel?

I rang Setanta today, initially to ask for a replacement remote for my mum as the one she received wasn't working. Customer sevices?? what a joke!
Was told to send the remote back, they will check to see if i'm not telling porkies then send a new one out. How do we change channels in the meantime? Tough-you can't basically.
While i was on i asked about giving 30 days notice on my own subscription and was told there is a "minimum subscription of 30 days" then you can ring and cancel, giving another 30 days notice. Asked where in the T&C's it says this-after about 20 trips to speak to her supervisor she got the T&C's up on her screen. I don't know where she was looking coz i couldn't see it anywhere. Honestly it was like talking to a robot.
Sorry about the essay, i guess what i'm trying to say is think carefully before signing up, their CS is C**P
Rant over!!!
