Even if this is a good deal, it's not enough to persuade me to buy a Chromebook...

Chromebook has a very limited target market but this is a cracking deal for anyone who is considering buying either product.

Only the following qualifies:

Samsung XE550C22-A01
Samsung XE303C12-H01
Samsung XE303C12-A01
Samsung XE550C22-H01

The WIFI Series 3 version can be had for £209 using code TDX-MJGQ at TESCO

This Chromebook is excellent. The phone isn't, but a good deal nonetheless if you're in the market for a Chromebook.

Is the galaxy mini sim free?

There are only two models of Series 3 Chromebook so they are qualified!

Why would anybody want this phone? Are people confusing it with the S3 Mini? Straight to mazuma for a tenner methinks.

hi thanks for reply but the one priced £299 is 3G or non 3G as only showing wifi in description on argos website very confused as i got argos vouchers so want to buy from them. thanks

T&C slightly confusing. Promotion dates are between 1st August and 3rd Sept. You need to buy and wait 14 days before you can apply, meaning not much time left as 14 days from today brings you to the beginning of September.

My daughter's got a Chromebook...

Advantages over a tablet:

She's more productive, she can do homework with Google docs, and still watch Netflix and so on.

And - advantages over a laptop:

Secure OS, not readily crippled with malware and popups. Plus it's cheaper.

I'd not want one myself, but they're the perfect solution for some. To those that have this deal is very hot.

No you still get the full 30 days to claim. You can claim from day 14 to day 44 from the date you purchase before the final close date early in Sept. You need a VAT invoice so ask Tesco for one if you take up their offer.

It can do a few things offline. Play music/movies from SD/USB or the internal storage, edit documents and spreadsheets (although you have to enable this when online), and move files around. There isn't much else that doesn't require the web though.

It is £46 cash. You are looking at the 'Poor' condition grade. Select 'Mint'.

Getting it from John Lewis is the best deal since you will get a two year warranty on top of everything else.

Here I was thinking it was a free Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini but I'm guessing it's this Galaxy Mini...

Cold because its not an S4. I manage to get one on eBay for £200. Voting cold. Specifically -273.16 degrees Celsius.

I bought a used chromebook for a play and now use it exclusively. The only things I haven't been able to do is use lovefilm or nowtv as there is no silverlight, but Netflix works ok.

Sell the phone and you'll get it for 3g model for £203 with a warranty.

Crap laptop + crap phone = crap deal.

That phone is shocking, worth £20 imo. You can get a much better spec huwaei for 40.
