i hate i-pods with a passion and will NEVER own one

but - for those who like them, this is clearly a hot deal IF the prices aren't over-inflated from the outset - so I'll give you some heat.

Hmmm, system doesn't seem to like the link which is odd as it's the following one

why is it not free? looks it to me...

I wouldn't want to have itunes on my pc so wouldn't buy an ipod personally, but just wondering.

Not free at all. Costs over £100.

well, the speakers are free, when you buy an Ipod of over £100, thats how I read the title

ahhh yes - not quite as headline grabbing if you read it like that

dear God man, google is your friend ;-)
you really don't ever need to install itunes (although its gotten a lot better recently just btw)

and RE this deal, even if they want full retail price then its a deal if you're buying the new nano, cos you can only get a tenner or so off that atm

No it isn't. It's still a major pain in the behind. Who designed such a hog of software - it takes up far much more space and system resources than it should.

Unfortunately when you have a GF who insists on having the "official" software...

... though I did persuade her that she didn't need to register with name, address and CC details if she's only going to download BBC podcasts
