Not really saving much when both have been on offer in the past for £25.

Has anyone got a time machine please?

37255490-z9Stm.jpgHow many more times are they going to try and convince us that £49 for the pair is a deal. It isn't a deal, it is the normal selling price 90% of the time. Look at previous 'Deals' at this price. Dozens of them, all the time.

You don't need a time machine, just sit and wait for a week or so and another Google Mini 'Deal' will come along.

Still worth mentioning especially when the post makes it out as if you are getting something for free.

Like the heat of a HUKD deal bears any relation to whether something is a good price or not

Yes.
You are right.
Only your opinion matters and all deals should be checked by you to make sure they don't annoy you..
Just pointing out that this 'deal' has been this price many times before. That is a fact, not an opinion.

If HUKD users want to vote hot on something that is up to them. I was just pointing out that just because they vote it hot doesn't mean it is any cheaper this week than it was last week or will be next week.
Chromecast makes no sense to me and I have one sitting on the shelf gathering dust. Two devices for a job that can be done by 1 device
Is it useful in any other scenarios.
I'm sure someone will correct me but would it not be easier to buy an android box for 25 quid

A lot of the time I would agree with that statement but when it comes to these and echo dots, they're pretty much the standard deals and prices. They're on off that much, they've devalued their own products.
They should be paying you to put those in your homes.
jaydrs1 h, 46 m ago

HUKD logic be like that though

The idea is you can control everything from your phone/laptop and indeed stream anything - even a Chrome tab/desktop. So if you stream anything *cough bootleg football* you can display and control it without loads of extra remotes.

I have one plugged into my projector. Means there are no wires coming out - power goes into the ceiling.

If you only watch normal TV/smart TV and never stream anything OR you only want to watch on a tablet/laptop then it won't have any value. But if you ever want to watch something online on a big screen/projector it is great. Being able to watch literally any game when I have mates round is worth the price many times over.
Ok thanks for the info. I get the no cables on projector is of value but that won't apply to most

You can also stream on a standard android box by installing the relevant apps and get a remote control. I purchased an iPazz port to replace the remote as it has a keyboard

Requiring a second device that needs to be charged and using it as your remote control seems a bit legacy to me. A small android box is nearly as portable as a chromecast.

It is still a useful device but I feel that there are better options. Surely the fire stick has surpassed a chromecast at this stage
